now Karen, let me take you in hand! You have to let go of scale watching. As you well know, many things influence the number on the scale, often nothing to do with whether or not you ate that piece of cake last Wednesday. You just have to keep the faith: do your 2, or 3 if you must, fast days every week. Do not diet the rest of the time. Walking 10,000 steps a day is great for your general sense of well-being but probably has nothing to do with losing weight - well, that's what I have found. relax. You are only ever so slightly out of the healthy BMI range. Just do it, and let go of trying to control everything! Hugs
Thanks Sallyo for reading. Sorry I'm just feeling a bit stuck right now. I'm sure it will pass!
Rant away Karen.......
You know that stress increases cortisol, and i was wondering if all the time you spend in those airplane cabins might affect your fluid balance. Keep at it. Maybe a back to basics 5.2 for a while might help, or dare I say a refeed.

Karen do you remember that you took a while to get going with weight loss the first time back in August?????? Just keep on keeping on buddy!!
Stay with it. I have stopped weighing because I get upset if I don't lose. You know if you have lost by your clothes and it will happen. Well done for keeping at it so far.

Day 7 and Hacked Off
by rawkaren on 05 May 2014, 05:35
On the scales this morning - a gain since mid week making the net loss for the week a big fat zero.
I had a couple of days of not counting but I know I did not overeat. I have alot of water retention for some reason, but to say I'm grumpy is an understatement. I feel like I'm slipping into diet mentality and for the first time since last August, feeling a little disillusioned with fasting. It does not help that the progress tracker tells me I will reach my target on 19 October 2020.
