Ah no. The Jawbone is not counting my typing as steps. It's just given me an 'idle' alert, as I have been sitting down for an hour. Better get moving.
Hi Karen,
there is absolutely no need for you to feel guilty after your carb blow out, that's the beauty of this WOE and it may even have done your metabolism good to shake it up a bit. I don't weigh myself every day either as I can tell by my waistband whether I've gained or need to pull back a bit and if it's demotivating or depressing you there's not much point. Much better to see a weekly downward trend IMO.
Do you train every day usually or have a few days' rest? I do 3 or 4 sessions of gym/aqua/zumba toning a week but with a day's rest in between each one for repair.
Glad you're finding the liquid fasts working for you thanks to your bulletproofs! x Carol

Hi Carol. I'm working on an extreme program called P90X right now which is working out for 6 days with a day of stretching for 90 days. This week (week 4) is supposed to be 'recovery', which it is not as the exercises are still hard! Anyway I did yesterday's and today's this afternoon, so I managed to get one back. I did measure my waist this morning, and oddly, I have lost a bit, and my arms are starting to look toned - yay! You sound very organised with your own exercise regime Carol. I love zumba but not done it for a while! xxxx
Rawkaren - with all your working out your plateau must be muscle building and toning. I am sure that pound will come off easily even if you do go up again. I know what you mean about daily weighing too - it is an awful damper on your day to see the scales go up even if its water weight. A month of stagnation with your hardwork is tough though and I admire your perseverance - I think I would have had a blow out way earlier than you. Also, it might be what your body needs to kickstart the metabolism again if you get me
Hope you are right Mousey! I'm consoling myself with the fact that I'm toning up pretty well and I'm feeling strong
Well done Karen, you are certainly putting the work in with fitness (and fasts of course)
I am exhausted reading about it
Pleased you have stopped daily weighing. It just takes over in the end and dictates the mood as you say.
xx

Day 90, Fast 29

I lost a pound last week - the first one in a whole month so I have probably undone all of the good work, so it's a good test for fasting as a WOE to see what happens when I next weigh in.
I have decided not to do the daily weigh in stuff any more. It dictates my mood for the day which is a complete waste of energy, and I was getting frustrated. I'm just going to go back to weekly (Saturday). Granted, I'm a bit scared to jump on the scales this morning and I'm sure that has something to do with it, but honestly, I'm none the wiser.
I last fasted on Thursday and did a 40 hour bulletproof coffee only fast as I did not eat again until Friday lunchtime. On the Friday morning, I had gained a bit on the scales, which is why I had only lost a pound. Anyway I felt good on it. I managed to train hard and not feel dizzy or ill. I had one large bulletproof before I trained and then I had a small one later in the afternoon and then another one on Friday morning. So I have decided to do it again today to see whether I was just having a good fast day or whether it could become a regular thing. This means that I will not eat until tomorrow lunchtime, but will have another bulletproof in the morning before I work out.
I have missed three days of the gym and I'm feeling quite bad about this as I'm missing it and I'm now a bit behind on the schedule. I don't know if the app will let me swap things around so I can catch up, but let's see. I have a yoga lesson today and depending on how I feel, I might do another workout.
This weekend I bought a Jawbone UP. I was going to wait for the FitBit Force, but as there is no UK launch date yet, I thought I'd get one of these and see how I get on with it. Its easy to set up and I really love the sleep mode. I have read that sometimes it counts typing as steps, so I'm about to find out whether it does or not as I have already done a fair amount of work on the PC this morning.... I also like the connectivity to MFP. I had to have the small size - which cheered me up no end (I must have little wrists!)
