Fast 27

by rawkaren on 12 Nov 2013, 11:44

Is today and the second fast this week. I have had to eat already as I was a bit wobbly after the gym this morning so I had a scrambled egg with a spoon of coconut milk in it. Much better now.

I went over my TDEE yesterday which will be the second time this week (I am assuming I went over last Saturday). Be interesting to see what the impact will be later this week. My weight is up a couple of points this morning and still higher than last Friday.

Calories 1800 (346 over)
Carbs 39% (120g - over target)
Fat 41% (56g - bang on target)
Protein 20% (63g - in range)

Breakfast was a small bulletproof coffee and a couple of slices of low carb pumpkin bread. Lunch was on the run as I was out and about so I had a slice of home made sugar free tea loaf.
We had friends over for dinner and this is where it all fell apart. One chicken tagine, cheese and biscuits plus a cocktail and wine, took me over my TDEE. The booze calories were 635. I need to learn a little more self restraint.....

I did my yoga yesterday. I managed a headstand for the first time in years so I must be progressing. Today was shoulders, arms and abs and I have increased my weights, the majority of exercises are now at 6.5kg weights, apart from triceps which I drop right down. I'm in my third week of training, but will miss Friday and Saturday as I'm away and maybe even Sunday. Next week is a different routine. Called 'recovery', but its basically two yoga workouts, two stretch workouts, one kenpo x and two core synergistics which sounds like something to strengthen the core. So it doesn't sound like much of a recovery to me.....

Well I'm hungry again now. I was going to do a liquid fast but I can't manage it today with all of this training and besides I have eaten that egg. Going off in search of food.

Karen you're really good at encouraging other people to keep going when the scales aren't playing ball so take heart and just trust that you know you are on the right path and you WILL lose those pesky pounds. Kudos to you for managing three fasts this week and just keep the faith! x Carol

Thanks Carol. I'm consoling myself with the fact that my fitness is improving and I think my holiday a few weeks back didn't help either. So optimistic for a positive change this week!
