Still 16:8

by rawkaren on 09 Feb 2014, 07:03

I'm sticking ok to 16:8 but not done a fast for nearly 10 days. I start out with good intentions, but never get it done. I think it's because I still don't have a routine yet and not sure what food to have here.

I had a Hairy Dieters Chicken Tagine today. I have no scales, but when I make it at home, its around 350 cals. Tonight some greek yogurt with raspberries, pumpkin seeds and almonds. Couple of squares of dark chocolate. That is the last of it now. I'm not going to buy any more.

I could fast tomorrow I suppose but I need to go supermarket shopping and I always find that hard on a fast day.

Yesterday was bad. I had a load of furniture turn up and had not eaten all day and by 4pm was really hungry. There is a posh burger place on the ground floor with really nice organic ingredients. So I had a classic burger, medium rare, on a brioche bun and fries. This is not like me at all. What's happening to me???

Karen, the only way to have a good fsat is to have a solid plan. I find quiche and canned soup are great fast day foods. They are super easy and fast. So when I finally decide it is time to eat, I prep them up and VOILA! A nice fast day meal that satisfies. Goodluck!

Thanks Carleneruns. I think I'm set now. It's taken me a few weeks but I feel I have moved in now, so the routine starts tomorrow. I have a plan involving Greek yogurt and raspberries....
