Naughty weekend!

by shel1988l on 15 Apr 2013, 20:22

Ok so I went to my parents this weekend and that is the place where dieats go to die. Everyone had a kebab on Friday evening but I opted for tikka chicken and chips, thinking I'd eat the chicken first and then eat some but not all the chips depending on how I felt. Didn't enjoy it at all but was so hungry that I ate the chicken as planned and half the chips! Bad me. Didn't put on any weight though, as checked on Saturday morning but that was only the start of the temptations and I gave up completely trying to count calories as I went to the pub and had steak and ale pie and buttery cabbage and mash. Sorry if this is tempting anyone but I couldn't help myself but eat and eat. So all in all I put 2lb on this weekend, but lost 4 last week in all so got away with it.

Monday 15th April (3rd fast day)

Today I woke up determined to put the weekend behind me. I had a fruit corner yogurt (175 calories) and a pint of water. I'm a teacher so next time I thought about food was break time at 11. Had...

Second fast day

by shel1988l on 11 Apr 2013, 18:46

Ok so woke up dreading today because I'm still on Easter holiday and didn't have any plans today...not a good thing for a fast day! Started to feel very hungry at 10am and ate a fruit corner yogurt (175 calories). Then managed until 2pm and was starving! Had a mint tea but the hungry/sick feeling didn't subside, so made a soup using all vegetables/onions/ham left in the fridge and added a stock cube and water (I tried to calculate the calories in this and came to 250 calories for the whole pot and I only had a third). It was tasty and I was really full after a small bowl, so I thought great! Felt hungry again at 6'o'clock so ate an orange. Now I feel sick again with hunger so I feel like I'm snacking and that's bad, even though the snacks are healthy I'm not letting my body actually FAST/take a break i.e. I eat every time I feel very hungry. I won't eat anything else today so I know I won't go over my calories but hopefully next fast day I will be able to go longer between eating.

Starting the 5:2

by shel1988l on 10 Apr 2013, 08:39

My first fast day was Monday (8th April)

I had low calorie vanilla yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, and a chicken breast salad with 0 calorie hot sauce (Frank's) for dinner. My fiancee is also doing the diet and he had a cup of tea during the day and the same salad but with a chicken thigh too. Went to bed feeling a bit hungry but I didn't mind it as I was excited to weigh myself the next day.

Tuesday (normal eating)

We like to weigh ourselves every day to keep focussed, so I found that I'd lost 2 pounds and my fiancee had lost 3. Had some chocolate for breakfast to congratulate myself. Chocolate is my weakness and I like to have some for breakfast with a cup of tea...maybe this new way of eating will kick that out of me eventually but it hasn't yet! Then managed to wait until half 12 for lunch (not having a biscuit at eleven is a big achievement for me!), had a low calorie (250kcal) small cottage pie ready meal with lots of peas. Then had two healthy chicken wraps for dinner (about...
