2nd Fast

by vickiej on 29 Apr 2013, 08:51

This is my second fast! I did have a sneaky look at my weight after my first fast and had dropped by 4 pounds. To be honest i just felt invigorated after the first fast and spiritually balanced! I downloaded a meditation to help with fast days which is a good distraction.
So here i am on my second fast day and really looking forward to it! The first day i found i did think about food constantly! Today i am just getting on with it! Have alot of work and study to do! And i am going to a Zumba class this afternoon which i am not so sure is a good idea on a fast day as apparently it burns 480 cals per hour but it is all trial and error and if it doesnt work then i wont do it again!
Hope everyone out there is enjoying this as much as me! Its a positive journey :)

I survived my first fast

by vickiej on 26 Apr 2013, 08:20

Well I survived my first fast! I felt so energised yesterday, and I slept amazingly well. There were points in the day that my tummy did rumble but I felt so proud of my self control and empowered to continue! I really think that planning what I was going to eat was beneficial. I am so thankful for the forum as everyones advice really helped! Looking forward to my next fast and the rest of my weightloss journey. Have chosen Mondays and Thursdays as my fast days and if anything crops up I will just adjust those

I woke up excited! I cant wait to embrace this way of eating. So today have sort of planned my day as much as I can. I am on annual leave so not sure if that makes things easier or not. So I have had 2 coffees so far and have used some of my 500 cals for milk as I feel one change at a time. Eventually I will try black coffee. I am going to have 2 meals, lunch at 1pm then dinner about 6pm. I have my friends dog staying so my prior arranged visit to costa has become a walk in the park with a very supportive friend.
I told my husband, and whilst he is scepital, which I cant say I blame him! I have tried so many eating plans. But this one is going to work. I am going to do this! And I read somewhere if you are finding it hard to fast just focus on tomorrow when I can eat and I am sure appreciate my food more.
I find this blog really helpful and the forums are excellent. So I may come back later and let you know what my first fast brings.
At the minute tummy rumbling but ignoring it and drinking...
