Just a quick update, but feel I am back on track - my True Weight (Apple App) is 207.7 so continue slow progress. I fasted Monday-Wednesday, but still prefer my regular Monday-Thursday.
We have continued to bike quite a bit, but fear I may be using that as an excuse to walk less. Should be boosting my daily activity level.
Vancouver has been having near perfect summer weather and I should be taking advantage of it. Almost 30 days without rain, a nice break but lawns and gardens could certainly use some moisture.
Tonight if the first of the Celebration on Lights firework shows, another Wednesday and next Saturday. They estimate a half million spectators line Enlgish Bay for these spectacular displays.
Got my annual Blood Work test results back and improvement over last year, I just realized the my knees seem to be complaining less with my near 20 lbs of weight loss.
Hope everyone enjoys these last weeks of summer. ...

Was originally going to do my second fast day on Thursday but had to move it to Wednesday due to work commitments.

Woke up hungry so decided to have breakfast. Bowl of porridge made with half milk, half water. That kept me full until lunchtime when I went for the Marigold Swiss Vegetable Bouillon (a snip at only 12 calories a cup!). I did think I was going to be hungry in the afternoon but wasn't hungry at all.

Home for a light dinner of boiled eggs and Lentil, Tomato and Chilli soup. Felt compeltely stuffed afterwards!

Great night's sleep and up before the alarm went off. If all fast days are like this then it will be easy but I suspect I will hit some bumps along the way.

....I've just woken up to a winy and wet Thursday, safe in the knowledge that my fasting is done for the week. I fasted Monday and Wednesday. Monday was OK, Wednesday was tougher, but I got through it. I also did HIIT and weight training on my fast days and am glad I can enjoy the rest of the week. Strange how appealing a simply bowl of cereal and sandwich is! I had vaguely planned to add in Friday as a fast day, but I don't think I will.

Weighed myself this morning and I'm another 2lb down, with an inch off my tummy, so this does appear to be working. I am glad as I'm not feeling 100% today. I'm tired with aching muscles (as a result of the gym). No walk for the dog today (not with me anyway!).

I am going to enjoy a leisurely morning, with a long hot shower before work.

Onwards and upwards.

My 3:4 week begins and ends on a Monday. It has to be this way to enable me to commit but I feel it is unfortunate that weigh day is Monday morning, not only after two Feast days but after two weekend Feast Days.

Very proud of my control and management of Monday to Friday. Could have eaten better and healthier on Wednesday (Feast day) but got through the week. And then the weekend started....

Being a yoyo dieter I of course have a list of excuses. It was freezing cold. I was exhausted. I didn't sleep enough. I was working most of the weekend in a difficult environment. I couldn't drink enough due to working. I had planned a healthy lunch Saturday but it was so cold it just wasn't going to happen. Blah blah blah.

The result was that I felt I ate too much of the wrong foods, and not enough of the right foods.

My aim was to limit carbs - on Saturday I did OK although I had carbs at every meal but did control the portion. On Sunday I did...

This is the second day of my first week. First day went better than today, just feeling very tired and in need of some caffeine I think but still very motivated. My main problem is the lack of sugar as try as I have I can't seem to cut out sugar in coffee and tea hence the lack of caffeine today. I have tried sweeteners but hate the aftertaste.... would be grateful for any ideas..... Best I can manage is a home made latte type coffee, plenty of milk seems to mask the sweetener taste.
