Always a nice surprise!

Today is my third down day, of my first week of corrective measures, and it will be a day of soup again. My husband has off of work, which will make things a bit tricky (eating out will probably be brought up), but if we do go out I'll just order a diet soda (been there, done that lol).

Very pleased with how my week has gone, and my goal to get back in the 118lb-122 range is surprisingly close already! After today's down day, I'll enjoy the weekend and then jump back in next Monday!]]>

I am still having no trouble drinking alcohol and, if I were, this would remind me that it is not a good idea. I am also doing 16:8 with this and as today is a 2nd birthday party it means that we have to be there at 11.00 and I will not eat until 12.00.

I will stick to this and, I will not eat birthday cake!]]>

I've come to the conclusion that the idea of eating whatever you want on your feast days is psychological cotton candy, but may actually be a toxic message. Overeating on feast days is still a bad habit and it's one that's frightfully easy to stick with. So I've decided on a new approach for myself. I'm going to calculate my BMR for a weight that is two pounds less than I actually am and I'm going to use that number as my calorie intake guideline for any given feast day. Now if I want to splurge every so often, I will. But I'm going to attempt to stay near the calculated calorie limit without really feeling like I'm dieting. If I could pull that off, it would be quite the coup. And when I finally become those two pounds lighter, I'll adjust my caloric intake to support the next weight loss goal.

So I'm actually encouraged that this can work for me in the long run. I was so ready for my fast day today and feel a lot better this evening than I did last night at this same time :victory: I have...
