Started yesterday. Went for a run (5.68 km) + some home made strength training in the morning, which seemed to keep the hunger away. Started work 12.30, had some miso soup (Wasabi restaurant just around the corner!) at 4, some coffee at 7 and then some salad when I got home around 10pm. Then sleep. Easy!!!!

This morning I was in a terrible mood, however I do have mental problems so I won't blame the fasting just yet. Did the same run as yesterday before breakfast, since this normally boost my mood but nothing... Anyway, I did it! That's the most important thing.

I don't like timing my runs, since I want it to be a nice, relaxing thing and not something I should feel stressed about. I know I'm away for 35-45 mins, roughly, and I don't think that's bad for a newbie runner. I feel good, that's the most important thing.

Next fasting day: monday! Wish me luck.]]>

I guess that this woe just doesnt suit my personality. I am brilliant on fast days, eating nothing and drinking herbal infusions and water. Yet on a non fast day I just have not been able to get it together and consequently \i am feeling down and being horrible to those I love. I still feel like a failure and am too embarrassed to go to the swimming pool with my boys. All of these things make me realise that this just is not working. I wish I was like those other people who just suddenly stop pigging out for...

Re my last post, I felt fine the next day (yesterday?) after the mid evening snack.

Furthermore, I am pleased with myself after yesterday re my food management. I might ask Pernelle to give me a halo I think, for the challenge.

I had something very upsetting happen in the afternoon (won't go into details) and my usual reaction would be to have some chocolate.. But somehow I managed to keep focusing on my actual hunger and whether I really fancied the chocolate, which I didn't. So I didn't have any. Mini miracle. I did have some cottage cheese mid evening, but was happy with that decision. I did have some red wine too, but that was before dinner and I was happy with that decision too.

This morning I felt good about the choices I had made yesterday. (Salmon salad - lots of veg - with avocado, quinoa, sultanas and walnuts plus a slice...

Mimi Spencer's weekly column about her writing a book with Dr M and although I'd just reached the point of giving up on the weightloss game having just had a complete clear out of my smaller clothing and footwear.
I sent for the book and got started right away jumped in with 3 days not even knowing 4:3 existed because I found it so easy and thought I can do this something "clicked " straight away and I knew this is the one!!!
I also restarted my walking just small walks to begin with then later building the length up as I travelled through the summer months.
After a couple of weeks I found this forum
full of (mostly) lovely people kind, helpful, friendly and very informative I've learned so much from this forum which has provided me with the backbone to my weightloss journey.
Shorter version...
