Last Thursday was my weigh in day.It was a morning after a feed day. I was excited because I lost a pound in one week. It gave me a boost to continue with this WOL. Today is now my fourth fast day. I'm continuing to fast throughout the day and save my 500 calories for dinner. It's getting a little easier. 2-4pm is the hardest time for me. I drink a ton of water and tea through those hours. One thing that seems to be happening after every fast day is my stomach gets a bit sore after I eat my first meal. Not sure why that's happening. Anyone else have issues like that?

This way of eating might be here to stay. Two very important reasons:

:star: Even though I am still not behaving very well on feeddays, until now I am losing a steady 0,5kg a week. Very surprising, I have to say. Especially in weekends I still have a hard time to restrict things like alcohol, chocolate, potatochips and the like.

:star: I am the kind of person that needs boundaries. Very strict boundaries. This way of eating helps with that. On fastdays I stick to my healthy breakfast and dito eveningmeal of in total 500 calories or less. Even though I am hungry, I don't feel like fasting or want to eat a bar of chocolate. I just stick to my mealplan on those two days.

Let me confess what I ate last Sunday nigt... 6 (six) mini-Magnums!!! I am totally not proud of that and call it binge eating. Yesterday I was...

Last week, Wednesday, was an employee appreciation luncheon at work. It was also a fast day. I decided that the fast was more important to me, so I stuck with it. The only real temptation was a rich chocolate layer cake. There were leftovers, so I told myself that I could have it Thursday. I didn't feel like eating it Thursday, and both Friday and Monday were fast days for me. Which brings us to today. There was still some cake left (perhaps a clue to its actual quality) at lunch today, and I decided that I had said no to myself enough about this cake. So, I had a slice. It was awful--stale, chalky, and way past its prime--but I ate it anyway.

I'm not filled with dieters regret and shame, but my inner foodie is definitely embarrassed. The next time I'm faced with that situation, I'll still stick with the fast, but I won't bother saving the cake. Life is too short for stale cake.

Oh deep joy...and all that! Lost 3lbs in Wk 4...bringing the total up to 19lbs lost in 4 weeks!!

I have never in all my forays into dieting, absolutely never, lost weight every week for 4 weeks! Mother Nature has always thrown a spanner in the works with some badly-timed bloating....resulting not only in despair when I find the results haven't matched the considerable effort....but that I have actually put weight on...grrrr!

A-maz-ing! That's all I can say. 3 more days to go of Week 5....and I'll be reporting back again....fingers all crossed for the Monday weigh-in.......

Thanks for dropping by!

Nearly 5 pm on my second fast days and things are going well. Only had a coffee for breakfast and miso soup for lunch. I will just keep going and have a small dinner later. It has been a busy day so not missed food :like:
