Been a busy day. Usual duties looking after animals. Had a a problem with leaking shower, complicated to get to but discovered mice had chewed a hole in a flexible drainage pipe. Will be replacing with a rigid more robust pipe they cannot bite through! Oh the joy of living in deepest rural France.
Went to see Lincoln this afternoon as was being shown in English. Had planned pizza for dinner but wasn't hungry so did not have anything. My head said eat but my stomach said no so I listened to my tummy for once. Planning a fast day tomorrow.
Generally feeling brighter today so hopeful of succeeding tomorrow.

My weight has stayed the same over the last two weeks and this week I have rigidly stuck to 2 x 16:8 and 2 x 36 hour liquid fasts! I also stick to trying to be sensible in between, food wise. Though I did have a bit of a blow out on Thursday night with red wine!
But the beauty of this forum is that you can read other threads and see that others may be going through the same. I am still feeling much better physically and mentally on this WOE so I am sticking to this. However, I haven't been around much to do my daily weigh ins so I may just be on a bloated day. I don't cope with the heat very well and have been drinking a lot of water but not dangerously so.
I am away up North from Tuesday for a week so this will hopefully kickstart my weight loss. I know it could go the other way as I will be with family more but I am hoping to get more walking in which I enjoy a lot.
Here's to my 8th week  ...

Ok so woke up dreading today because I'm still on Easter holiday and didn't have any plans today...not a good thing for a fast day! Started to feel very hungry at 10am and ate a fruit corner yogurt (175 calories). Then managed until 2pm and was starving! Had a mint tea but the hungry/sick feeling didn't subside, so made a soup using all vegetables/onions/ham left in the fridge and added a stock cube and water (I tried to calculate the calories in this and came to 250 calories for the whole pot and I only had a third). It was tasty and I was really full after a small bowl, so I thought great! Felt hungry again at 6'o'clock so ate an orange. Now I feel sick again with hunger so I feel like I'm snacking and that's bad, even though the snacks are healthy I'm not letting my body actually FAST/take a break i.e. I eat every time I feel very hungry. I won't eat anything else today so I know I won't go over my calories but hopefully next fast day I will be able to go longer between eating.

Friday 31 January 2014, 8.28 am in the 'Big Bother House'...
"Thank Crunchie its Friday"is all I can say! (that will be an imaginary Crunchie bar of course! (My nickname here on this site (Chockfan) says it all.) Talking of chocolate, I'm still allowing myself a small square of lovely, bittersweet Plamil Dark chocolate on non-fast days - its sweetened with Stevia, so more virtuous compared with dark chocolate with added sugar. So... I've got two fast days under my belt now - lost a couple of pounds already - official weigh-in day is Sunday for me, hoping for a bit more to come off by then to encourage me to keep going. Have been taking photos each week but so far my weight loss of about 4 pounds since December doesn't show any difference in the pix - maybe its got to get to half a stone before I can see a difference in the mirror. Feel like I want to eat more sensibly on my non-fast days too, so that's good. Think I might have to divvy up my fast day calories in a different...

Well I think I can safely say this week is going to be my worst since starting this way of eating. However, I've been on an eating plan long enough to know that, no matter how crap I feel at the moment, it will pass and I will come back fired up to get on with it - but not today.

This is not the place to go off topic but we have had a major family issue hanging over us for a long time now and it came to a head a couple of weeks back. After literally years, yesterday, just like that, it resolved itself leaving us a bit shell shocked.

So I will be back with you good people for the start of a 4:3 on Sunday. I wish you all the best. And for those of you struggling with things other than weight loss let me say that I truly hope that one day there will be light at the end of the tunnel :clover:
