Here’s the story of how I got in England and stayed there 2 years. It’s a lifesaving story, maybe the reason why I am so fond of that time of my like…

Everything began at the end of 1993. I got seriously ill, could have died and, even if I had to go back to school, I had to find something to do until the next September. I knew I needed to go far away from everything and everyone to repair myself. I decided to go as an au pair which I did the 28th March 1994, the day after my 20th birthday. I took the bus at Paris, a boat and the bus again, arrived at Victoria Station in London where the man of the family where I was going to live for the next few months was waiting for me and we took the train to Royal Tunbridge Wells. It’s funny because even all these years later, I still remember the exact address…. Here I found the mom who was 15 years older than him (really strange as far as I was concerned), the 3 years old little boy named Alexander. Blonde hair with big blue eyes, a Thomas the Tank ...

I know I'm on this 5:2 for weight loss/weight management plus the added health benefits but seriously it does one's ego good when you start getting compliments as well

Today I was told my skin looks great and I look younger. Then this afternoon a man that I walk past most mornings while working our respective dogs, approached me in the supermarket and said he wanted to tell me that whatever I was doing to keep it up he could see the changes in my figure! I said he's made my day and thanks!!

Loving this lifestyle!!! :like:

I was so pleased to jump on the scales this morning and see that another pound has hit the road - really really pleased - this way of life is really working for me, slowly but surely I am seeing the difference and enjoying not having to worry about what I eat or drink every day, just have to keep track on two days a week and this suits me - the fast days just happen normally and I look forward to them. I don't worry about what I eat the rest of the week but actually find that I don't think about food as I had in the past - some days I don't think about food at all. Going out tomorrow with friends and hubby for a Burns' Supper with haggis and whisky and the whole shebang - really looking forward to it without regret.

Thursday 25/4 Going really well by not overdoing intake yesterday but did increase activity by spending an hour trimming a very overgrown head height hedge ..nice Autumn day for it but certainly worked up an appetite so I made a small amount of Damper with grated parmesan cheese for a late lunch ..(it sat so heavily in my stomach that I wasn't hungry & actually felt uncomfortable all evening..used normal s/raising flour instead of gluten free, so cld be the reason).
Today I've found my normal 2 cups of black tea & a few glasses of water have taken the edge off so I'll be having m cooked brown rice, red quinoa with a small handful of soaked dried fruit (2 apricots, 2 prunes, cranberries, sultanas). I'll add a dollop of non-fat Greek yoghurt & a little rice milk. All up about a cup which keeps me happily chugging along until a very light lunch of asian green veg & tofu soup.
Feeling the benefits of an energy increase already & a lifting of Black Dog after getting in the...

Half a pound down last week, half an inch off my waist and almost another 1% body fat. Wow. Was not expecting that at all. In fact I was expecting to gain.

I gave myself the day off on Saturday. No calorie counting, a bit weyhey I suppose to celebrate, but also I had resolved that it’s ADF all the way to Christmas now.

Liquid fasted yesterday. Went very well:

Calories 372
Carbs 28% (26g)
Fat 65% (27g)
Protein 6% (6g)

Breakfast bulletproof coffee. Lunch and dinner carrot and red lentil soup. I made enough for tomorrow's fast day.

Plus yesterday's exercise was chest, shoulders, tri's and abs in the gym, plyo’s this morning and I also have a yoga class too. I didn’t train on Saturday hence me doubling up today, but did my steps. I also did double duty on Friday but didn’t quite finish the second workout as I was feeling a bit wobbly towards the end of it and I didn’t want to compromise my form. All this training is a bit unprecedented for me.

I have increased my weights t...
