SO I'm going to slightly change the format. I have decided not to weigh and record my weight every day. As you can see I fluctuate wildly. I thought by recording the fluctuations, it would help remember that overall there is a downward trend but it doesn't - it just worries me. So I'm going to do 1 weigh in day after my last fast of the week to give me the greatest motivation.

So my fast day Friday was a total right off - I'd say I ate about 2500 cals

Bfast: bagel (200)
lunch: roll with wedges, cheese, garlic mayo, bag of crisps (700)
SNack: Quark (165)
Dinner: snacky bits at party (700)

Total 1765. I just kept picking and picking. SO the next time I'm at something like that - I will definitely set myself a challenge not to pick but limit myself to try and break the habit. I used to be very controlled about that before but now I'm terrible.

I give the day 5/10 due to my lack of control

Day 20
I wake up feeling extremely bloated from the night before- so much so that I have to force...

one of my customers asked me if I had lost weight yesterday. He's a fitness instructor and we have discussed diets etc often. He helped me out last year with a food plan which did help me shift some weight. Very nice to get such good feedback.
My 10th fast went well yesterday and it is definitely getting easier. Except for the evenings which are still a challenge. My stomach doesn't tell me it's hungry..my mouth does! Perhaps it's a hangover from when I used to smoke or I am really orally fixated lol. It's very frustrating for me to feel like this and I get restless wondering if I can squeeze a few more calories into me, out of my allowance. I go to the fridge, open the door and stare at the contents. I close the door empty handed, sigh, and walk away. The trouble is I crave bread and cheese....anything highly calorific. So I drink some more water or no sugar ginger beer and go to bed a little bit hungry. Not crying though, ...

I'm inspired by the way this diet is lighting up so many people who have struggled with food and weight. And I must admit cautious to venture down another path which could reveal its not going to work for me or success.

Take the blue or red tablet for magical changes.
I'm on the fence still, but I'm doing something joining this site. I think I'm doing something.

Lately I've been experimenting with saying no to food urges in the late hours going instead for water. It's a nice feeling to be in dialogue with the desiring one. She seems to not know the difference so far.

:victory:
That's a start.

I remember, physically, how I love the Fast Day feeling: strong, resolute, focused. I remember, coming back to this WoE again, how EASY it is to just decide, for one day, to limit my intake. I remember how grateful I am that I know that my hunger won't kill me, that it will subside, that I can drink something, or walk, or get busy with another class to teach AND STILL COPE. I am remembering how marvellous a body is that can cope with little food and little sleep: no excuses needed, just get on with life!

Yesterday, I had the most wonderful dinner of Camembert, crackers and some chutney made by a friend of mine, washed down with a glass of Malbec. No fuss, just raw pleasure, knowing I could savour it ahead of a day of cleaning out today. And after a weekend of wonderful eating: steak and chips with the youngest kid, lovely soup; I know I can go back to savouring and delighting in things, even indulging in things tomorrow, if I need to. But because it is midweek, and midweek is taking...
