I am a new member and just completed my first week - I fasted on Tuesday and Thursday - I am amazed to have lost 2lbs on the scales but on the first fast day had a severe headache and last night (second fast day) did not sleep at all - anyone experienced this please and will it improve?

thanks

My progress down the weight ladder has been arduous and slow.

And it's all been an effing needless 10 months of deprivation.

I give up.

I don't know whether it's been playing on my mind but I'm sure there is more room in bed. I have a silly habit of;
1st - lie on my right side
2nd - turn over to my left and then 5 seconds later my tummy follows :oops:

Then I repeat all over again and again and again (get the visualisation). I eventually fall asleep on my left side. Now when I've been doing this bedroom gymnastics everynight my body seems to be more responsive. In other words when I turn over it's not so much of a mountain to shift :grin:

Now, my hubby steals all of the bed (seems like it), I feel like I have more room . So yay, this is a better way of life :lol:

Ok my 5th fast has gone ok. Despite not having had anything since lunch on Wednesday, because of some stomach bug that made me sick, I went through my 5th fast yesterday just eating around 700 cals in total. Today I weighted myself as usual and the weight dropped incredibly to an 76.5Kg, which is 2.9kg less than when I started. Today is my last day of the first 2 weeks on 5:2 and even if I will gain somehting I am pretty happy so far. Fast days are going always better and I am getting used to them, even if hunger or better the thought of eating something is always there, but then I just need to think that is it just few hours away to a normal eating day and that makes me going again. Have noticed that as soon as I am a bit hungry or think about food I just need to involve myself in something (no, not reading the forum, incredibly it makes me hungrier :starving: ) and another hour passes...

So I stopped logging on the 6th ( I didn't get round to entering the last couple on here but I wrote it down instead) and I've still managed to keep losing, all be it slowly. Last weekend was weird. Even though I felt I'd had a reasonable week I gained 2 pounds(up to 10st 3 from 10 st 1.75) which I refused to accept as real as it made no sense. I forgot to weigh yesterday and I'm always up a bit on a Sunday so I've had to estimate a little. I weighed 10 st 1.75 this morning so I'm taking 3/4 pound off and entering 10 stone 1 as a Saturday weigh in. We went round York yesterday and had a few beers and a big meal, so compared to yesterday morning, I'm probably up more than that. Who knows maybe yesterday I may have even hit my interim goal(10 stone), but I will never know. So annoyed.

Anyway the main thing is, my eating habits and fasting seem to have returned to normal and my body seems ready to start losing again. It's been so long since I was below 10 stone, maybe it was freaking out...
