Week 4 fast day 2. I bought a small tin of tuna and had it with salad for lunch plus a ww yoghurt =200 I also bought some rehydration tabs to try and avoid the headache but it is slightly present still. Tea was a bowl of porridge (300) before my running group again.

Feeling much slimmer, amazing what a difference 7 pounds makes. Yesterday at the gym I did some core work which I'm usually lazy about and today it hurts to laugh or cough! After the gym we went to town and stopped off for Carrot cake and coffee, this was always my nemesis. I did enjoy it, but it's so much easier knowing I can have that and it's still 'on the diet' the fast days go quickly and then it's eat plenty again. I searched #fastdiet on twitter and had to laugh at the girl who said the best thing about it was appreciating endless cups of tea on feast days!

Something I have noticed is that before 5:2 my husband was always complaining that the treats had all gone before he got a look in. Namely a bar of chocolate or a cake, would be bought and his share would be eaten within hours, before he decided he fancied it, 3 days later. In other words he has a normal relationship with food, sugary, treat foods are just that treats.

Now, I have a cupboard of treats, bars of chocolate, mini muffins, biscuits. Talking about biscuits, I used to have to BAN biscuits from the house because I didn't have any control over biscuits. Open the packet and I would eat the whole packet, to myself, dunking them in tea and whoosh, 10 minutes later they were gone 700kcal+. Half the time I didn't remember or realise I was eating them. But now, there are 6 packets of biscuits in the house, I have eaten 4 biscuits in the last week, four individual biscuits, not four packets in the last week.. This would have been unheard of in the past. We have had to stop buying in...

a bugger off and leave me alone kind of mood.

Generally speaking I'm all for sharing peace and love etc, but some people just need a slap.

My plan for a day off yesterday to slob around went well so theoretically I should be feeling much more able to cope with "some" people...theories suck sometimes.

Daughter and sil left an hour ago. They have been staying in our Gite for two weeks testing it out before paying guests arrive! A small snag list to deal with, nothing serious. The first paying guests do not arrive until Saturday week.
Bruno dog has been unwell the last couple of days. I think he was in the sun too much. Keeping him in today and feeding him lighter stuff. Have also put some milk in his water which he drinks lots of!
On the fasting front am planning usual three fasts next week and will eat normally in between. Thjnk this will suit me better. Am trying to reduce what I eat on feed days.
Have nearly finished the new fence so must away and get it done.

That was much easier than I'd expected. Being on the train for ten hours prevented me from mooching through the cupboards or fridge. I've eaten less than 450 cals and am pleased with that. I've not really felt hungry, I felt a bit queasy earlier, but I often do if I'm hungry, I ate some of my soup at 2 pm and that saw me through to dinner of homemade leek and potato soup with a slice of bread for dinner at 8.45ish.
Fasting today means I don't need to count what I'm eating at aunt's funeral tomorrow!
I really hope this works for me!
