Scale actually put me up two pounds which really bummed me out as I had two decent fast days? Hoping the heat and some water retention were the reason have to remind myself of the weekly avg is the key. Just want to see this last 15 off so I can work at maintaining! Have got a 3.5 mile walk in four out of five days. Tomoro taking in a bunch of clothes to help me keep busy while I fast.

Well, I have now completed 8 weeks on the 5:2 diet. I must confess, I have had a few wobbles since my last blog - whether it was drastic over eating on a weekend away or suddenly finding fast days as hard as in the first week - it has not been easy! However, I am pleased to report that my total weight loss is now 10 pounds and I am thrilled!

I am now very much itching to join the one stone club. Now that I've got through a few hard weeks I know that I can cope with whatever this WOL has to throw at me.... Feeling strong again!! :-)

My starting point: Im 22, 5'7 and 13.4 stone and unhappy. Im constantly thinking about who i look and how people see me. Ive done diets since i was 14 which usually dont work and im too impatient to wait to see the results. Im finally putting all my faith into this 5:2 diet that sounds like it could be the answer to all my problems. Im looking to get down to around 10.4 stone as that is apparently in the middle of healthy for my bmi, this could be a good reason but its up for change as it will depend on how i look and feel. this could mean i need to lose more or not as much. I think that is every thing. Now down to the fasting.
So today is offically my first fasting day and so far im feeling great! not anywhere near as hungry as i thought i would be, but i still have tomorrow morning to get through. I decided that i was going to do a 1pm-1pm fast as it works out better with my working day and it doesnt seem as long as if i did it 7am-7am! So its 8:30pm and ive just had my first meal since...

Well it's been over a month since I last posted but I wanted a break as I seemed to be moaning quite a bit at times. I know that is normal but I have persevered with this WOE and it has paid off with losing 17 pounds. It has been a long slow grind mind you and what have I learned so far -
That I can cope with 16:8 a couple of times a week far better than a stricter 5:2 twice a week. This is purely my view as when I am on a fast day it does affect me mentally and my sleep isn't good. I should add that I am using the power plate at the gym and doing a fast 10 minutes on the treadmill plus sit ups all before work.
My jeans fit me far better, still would prefer a size smaller but I have to learn to be patient and it WILL happen.
I am not binging on crisps or biscuits like I used to. I do eat more normally at the weekend as I feel I will give up all the good work if I don't have some treats.
So, I am continuing with this and I will lose all my horrible fat! ...
