Have my first fast tomorrow and im trying to be as positive as i can be about it. Trying to plan what im going to eat but not sure if i should have 1 meal in the evening or small lunch and dinner. have been looking at the posts on here and know people find different things to keep them going and how they spend their fast days. Think most of my worry is in my head, i know realistically im not going to die from only eating 500 cals but its just the thought of no food. will have tea/coffee/water on stand by. i am interested in seeing how my body reacts to fasting tomorrow and the future fasts. hoping that the advice and support on this site will help.

This is my second week of fasting without weightloss in a row. I'm aware I need to up my exercise and probably need to control my feed day intake better. But still, today is not a fabulous one.

Breakfast - 249
Lunch -234
Dinner - 500 calories or so

Aerobic activities: 380
Resistance exercise: 250 or so
I felt a little sluggish running on the track. My daughter though she could hear me dragging my feet? I'm still not buying it. Took 2 Ibuprofen to compensate for some tenderness in the right heel.

I got roped into restocking the pantry this evening. I could not resist eating a few sheets of dried seaweed.

Yesterday I didn't have lunch til 5pm!! I had some shopping to do and thought I would get it done quickly first thing in the afternoon and then have a later lunch. But not that much later!

I had to get something to eat when I was out, as I was stressed, tired and light headed. Settled for a pear. Had my usual lunch once home, but a smaller serve of salad. Delayed dinner til almost 8, didn't really feel hungry but I knew if I didn't eat a decent meal then, I might end up snacking on whatever.

I did have choccie with my decaf when I sat down to watch The Code and The Tunnel, 2 great shows. It was a conscious choice although I was eating for emotional reasons. And I had more than I would ideally have had, but I savoured and enjoyed every mouthful, and was able to stop myself having anything else, when part of me wanted to. (I was feeling emotional and fragile for a lot of the day. I was singing along at the top of my voice with the wonderful Teddy Tahu Rhodes "Some enchanted evening"...

Ok my 5th fast has gone ok. Despite not having had anything since lunch on Wednesday, because of some stomach bug that made me sick, I went through my 5th fast yesterday just eating around 700 cals in total. Today I weighted myself as usual and the weight dropped incredibly to an 76.5Kg, which is 2.9kg less than when I started. Today is my last day of the first 2 weeks on 5:2 and even if I will gain somehting I am pretty happy so far. Fast days are going always better and I am getting used to them, even if hunger or better the thought of eating something is always there, but then I just need to think that is it just few hours away to a normal eating day and that makes me going again. Have noticed that as soon as I am a bit hungry or think about food I just need to involve myself in something (no, not reading the forum, incredibly it makes me hungrier :starving: ) and another hour passes...
