Ate way too many pringles and had a couple of glasses of wine yesterday, so I'm looking forward to my fast today. Will be interesting to see what I weigh tomorrow. :)

:like: Well I survived my first fast day yesterday and yes I mean survived! Started ok, great determination, last meal the night before, finished around 7.30pm. Decided to not eat breakfast or lunch, dozens of glasses of water, interspersed with green and peppermint tea, all good. Didn't feel all that hungry all day really, did my usual morning walk, busy day at work, no time to think of food really.
Started to think food around 6.30, whipped up vegetarian chilli from the book, seriously good! Didn't bother with adding the rice. Very tired, hit bed early, then the headache hit. Tried to sleep through it, bad idea, tossed and turned, multiple trips to the loo, next time paracetamol for me!
Got up this morning, swallowed the panadol, yep headache still present. Went for a walk then breakfast. I understand about smaller portions, thought I would eat and not stop, but 2 weetbix with a few berries...

We got through yesterday and now I know what hungry feels like. Enjoyed eggs and tomatoes on sour dough toast for breakfast and then OH and I had coffee and cake in Devonport. We'd gone out yesterday to distract ourselves and drooled as we walked past the cake shop. Now I don't want lunch. OH is having lunch, but he had a smaller cake. I had the biggest one- a fruit tart. My eyes are a little better - we'll, my glasses have been adjusted. My son and His girlfriend are scathing about our new strategy and say it will result in weight gain and bad heart health. We thank th for their concern.

That's 13 fasts to Christmas (including today) and I estimate I will have lost another kilo based on current trends. :like:

I lost half a pound last week which I considered quite good considering I had 3 days of carb fest at the front end of the week. The BMI nudged down to 23.99 which made me laugh but its funny how good it made me feel to have a BMI of 23 something......

Fridays Fast Day Numbers:
Calories 437
Carbs 28% (30g)
Fat 58% (28g)
Protein 14% (15g)

Breakfast was a bulletproof coffee, lunch zero noodles with mushroom sauce and a large plate of broccoli and coconut water throughout the day. Exercise was only half of kenpo x because an old mate phoned me in the middle of it, so I went out for a long walk later and did about 12000 steps.

Saturday 1622 calories (upped deliberately because I have been having heart palpitations and wanted to get carbs and potassium into my system)....

So, today was an eating day.
I'm not exactly counting calories (except for fast days, of course) as I don't really want to treat this plan as a diet as such and I really don't want to get hung up on calories. Too many years of dieting!
However.....I have roughly worked out the calories to what I've eaten today just to see what a typical day may be.
At the last count I had eaten 1400 and something and since then I've had a couple of small glasses of red wine too, so I guessing I'm heading towards my tdee of 1800 and something.
I feel full.
I don't like feeling full.
I much prefer fasting days when I have that empty feeling and I seem to get a lot more done too, like tackling that great big ironing mountain!
So tomorrow is another fasting day to try and get me into the swing of fasting Monday and Thursday....who knows, I might even wash the kitchen floor tomorrow AND do the ironing!!
My husband will think hes come home to the wrong house!!
