Just completed second fast of this week:

Calories 309
Carbs 48% (38g)
Fat 23% (8g)
Protein 29% (23g)

Lunch only - young coconut water - fresh no meat
White miso soup with veggies
Builders Protein Bar (chocolate peanut butter)

Would like to do another one this week, but not possible so 16:8 all the way now until next Tuesday.

First time I have done a proper 5:2 for about a month so feeling happier about myself.

Today is a fast day, and I am tired....

Its one of those days where, if there was a "duvet day" option at work, I think I'd have taken it and just hidden there, under the duvet, pretending the world didn't exist and hopefully going back to sleep to make fasting easier...

I struggled to get up and after multiple black coffees I got myself off to work, and so far I am sticking to the fast but only by the grace of a bucket load of caffeine....

Such a contrast to last week, where everything seemed easy, and fast days were a breeze....

The only thing I can suggest that has caused the difference is I had a much less restrained feed day yesterday... eating good stuff but lots of it, grazing through the day but offset by exercise so under TDEE overall ...

I had been getting into better habits of not snacking, not eating breakfast, and then eating a good lunch and a good dinner and maybe a snack before bed.... I ate simlar things yesterday to most recent feed days, where I had been...

Afternoon one and all,

Well I have decided that Tuesdays is my weigh in day every week and since last week I have lost 0.6kg so over a pound in weight. It really is only this week that I have started being good with my feast days and have started to really cut back a little so I am happy with my start.

I feel really good at the moment as I had lost loads of weight but started to put back on 2 months ago and put on over a stone and a half I had lost. I now feel like I am winning the battle again and I will win and I will make this work for me.

I don't know about anyone else but the fast days really are not that bad at all and once I have my evening meal around 300 cals its really easy as most of the end of my fast is spent sleeping.

I would be intersted to know if anyone else like me does lots of exercise also especially on fast days. Yesterday on my fast day I cycled 14 miles to work then another 14 miles home and did not feel too bad.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Fast day tomorrow after weekend off! So want to hit that magic 30 pound mark this week! Hoping Tuesday weigh in will do it! Hubby hit 42pounds, but the over 50 female has to work a lot harder....stinking hormones! Clothes shopping was a hit for both of us Saturday as we gear up for UK/Paris trip in 4weeks! Stay tuned to this weeks weigh ins!

These fast days have become really quite routine now. I didn't believe this would ever happen. I have to be careful that I don't forget I'm on a fast! I'll be getting weighed tomorrow so I hope it's better new than last week. Monday's fast was fine and I don't think I've been overindulgent on my feast days. If the number on the scale doesn't go down tomorrow then I'llt ry calorie counting on feast days too just to check if I am overdoing it without realising. I am starting to feel that I really could envisage continuing with this WOE forever.
