Yay I feel important...I have a blog all of my very own :like:

It's like a brand new exercise book at school, and I must give some thought to the words I put down, don't want just any old rubbish, don't want to spoil the pristine neatness of it all, oh blog I  you.

Fast two over , and I can honestly say I was not hungry, even by the time inwasndue to eat at 2030hrs. Somehow not eating at all switched off my desire to eat. I did enjoy my meal fish cake and salad but I wasn't ravenous. Normally by the time I finish work and have had lunch and breakfast and snacks , I am so hungry I could eat a horse between two bread vans lol.. And I am irritable until I have eaten, but not today. I drank camomile tea and had chewing gum but apart from that nothing. Seems once you start eating you want more and if you don't start then the fast, for me anyway is easy. Even better I now I have 3 days of feed days .

After my 5th fast the weight has dropped to 84.1kg. A bit less than I thought since yesterday was a fast day: only 0.5kg lost. Anyway as I said yesterday thigs are going in the right direction and today I went into the 25BMI figures.
Today I ma leaving to go to Berlin and I hope to behave while over there having to eat in hotel and restaurants.
It will be a good test.

3 weeks ago (2/24/14) I started a Sugar Detox and went Wheat-free (in addition to 5:2 fasting). I think this change has had a significant impact on my continued weight loss. I've lost 11 pounds since the start of my 5:2 fast on 1/11/14 (9 weeks ago). I just finished the book "Grain Brain" by David Perlmutter and have watched Dr. Robert Lustig's video "Sugar: the Bitter Truth" on YouTube, in addition to reading countless other research articles online about the negative effects of wheat and sugar on the human body. I think these guys are on to something.

Yesterday I did my fourth fast day. It gets easier each time. It also helps to do these on busy days--I've now settled on Tuesdays and Fridays because these are the days I am away from home for 10 and 12 hours, respectively. It is so liberating not having to think of what I'm going to eat, carrying tuppers or tins and plastic cutlery, looking for a place in my busy schedule to sit and eat. I do carry a small shaker with protein powder (not mixed) for just in case, but so far I haven't needed it. In the morning just my usual tea with coconut milk. When I get desperate I may have a piece of fruit at noon. Then a small normal meal, whatever the family are having but less, and skip the carbs, when I get home in the evening. For example, last night I came home to spaghetti and meatballs, but I only had the meatballs (soutzoukakia Smyrne style, to be precise). I cannot count the calories but I think I'm within the limit. On the non-fast days I have whatever the family are having (my...
