First valentines challenge weigh in and I've gained. What a numpty I've been.
Obviously I've eaten up to many Xmas goodies on non fast days. I was really excited about not gaining over the holiday period. Especially given that I was doing 16.8 so successfully.
"Ok kick up the bum and get on with it Caroline"
Yes I'm talking to myself and wagging my finger.
I now have 9lb to shed before my birthday.

Hi everyone
Just wondering how the little comment below our username works, I see I've gone from "New" to "faster" and that some people are "for life". How is this worked out??
Thanks
Ann

People did warn me before starting 5:2, that the lack of food on one day will make your mind go crazy about food the next, and how right they were!
My first fast was SO difficult, I had a small lunch and small dinner, and went to bed absolutely starving. They next morning I woke up and because it was my day off, I raided the cupboards and picked at all the wrong foods pretty much all day.
Three out of the five fasts ended with the next morning following the same pattern,
and it leaves me feeling worse than ever. Bloated, sick, and lethargic, and I wonder whether it is worth continuing with 5:2, if i'm just going to feel fatter and worse than normal.
BUT
I have finally realised where I am going wrong! All I need to do, is plan my fasting days 2 days before a day off work. This way I have definite days to fast, and hopefully not quite so many opportunities to be binging!
Lets give this method 5 fasts and see how we get on!
Fingers crossed for me!

Is it me or does the 500 calories just open the flood-gate to hunger?
Would it be better to stick to a liquid fast?
Just wondering what is out there???

hiya, looking forward to my 1st day of the fast diet tommorow feel that i am syked up for it, the thought rationale behind it for me is that it is 1 day as opposed to weeks of dieting where certain foods are restricted. fingers crossed!!!
