Today's fast was slightly easier. When the ugly emotional eating demon tried to surface I did a lot of praying to make it until mealtime. I stick to the rules on fast days but feed days are a different story.
My new rule is to always stop eating after I have had my supper on feed days. I tend to do the mindless eating thing on feed days if I have a snack or breakfast. I am planning 16:8 on feed days to help me conquer this issue. Maybe if I focus on the time rather than grazing the scale will be more stable.
Currently I fast Mon., Wed., and Fri. I will add 16:8 the rest of the days sticking with the low carb high fat foods. This is doable with my lifestyle... I just have to figure out what works best for my health too.

This week I'm planning to fast tomorrow and Thursday. Ideally would have liked 2 days between fast days cause I'm so new to this and it worked for me last week. However, life gets in the way as we all know.
Interestingly I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow, quite like the feeling after a fast day, feel lighter somehow

I'm all prepared, food wise for tomorrow's only meal, dinner. Finished eating tonight at 6.30 so off I go again,

Enjoying this new journey!

As you may have seen in my last blog I was found to have very high BP and had to try various new medications. Wanting to see only the effects of the medications I left off fasting. It's been about 3 to 4 weeks and I have regained 2 pounds. How quickly it goes back on even when trying to keep intake down.
Last Friday on a visit to my GP my BP had returned to as near normal as is possible for my age and health. Yippee! I can start fasting again. So here I am doing a Tuesday/Friday kick. I have done quite well today but had a 100 cal choca mocka drink. Oh well, a little less tonight then, possibly.
In the mean time I have been studying coloured pencil painting and find it a medium that I like very much and is good for taking one's mind away from food. It is very time consuming to do properly. Only trouble is I have spent a fortune on new pencils and other materials to do it.
It is nice to be...

Current Actual Weight: 75.2kg (11 stone 12 pounds)
Current Trend Weight: 73.2kg (11 stone 7 pounds)

After the over-indulgences of Friday, I wasn't feeling all that hungry yesterday and went to my usual spin class on an empty stomach with the hope that this would help to get my body back into fat burning mode. However, this bout of exercise just served to bring that hunger back as the body seeks to recover that lost fat which is being burned.

As usual, I tried to do a 16:8 day, but I had a couple of haggis pastries at lunchtime, with a pear and a glass of milk. However, I then proceeded to eat some fruit cake and a couple of boxes of chocolate truffles later on. For my evening meal, I then had what I would normally have as a Full Scottish Breakfast, except that I had that for my evening meal.

That consisted of half of a mixed grill pack and for that, I had a piece of black pudding, a piece of lorne sausage and a piece of fruit dumpling. With that, I had two slices of bacon, two poached...

Couldn't believe it has been that long and so successful! Just the way we do things now and won't give up how much better I feel and look! Have 6 pounds to go to ideal goal, and wish I woul lose them faster, but I walk my 5 miles and or 10000 steps every day and a month ago added planking. Can hold a plank for 4.5 minutes which blowsmy mind compared to first time I did it! Whole 55 year old body just a lot more firm! I don't aim to put a bikini on ever again but sure glad I kept a couple of those slinky dresses! I may only wear them for home date nights! But reminds me of how far I have come!o
