I know its after a fast day but I am now 11st 12.6 lb! Down from 12st 7lb on November 11th. I am very happy with that and am much better with my eating between fast days. I hope that this continues. I was busy yesterday and that helped greatly.

By jove I think I've got it! 2 weeks in and I think I've cracked it! I am totally loving liquid fasting, I rarely feel hungry but just get a bit tetchy and slightly miserable early evening - I can live with that (not sure about my family but I'm fine! )
I still want to fit 3 fasts a week in but find liquid fasting harder at the weekend - life's about little pleasures like meeting friends for coffee and actually having a lovely milky coffee, a glass of Bailey's on a saturday night, a biccie on sunday afternoons. So, I'm nothing if not adaptable and have come up with my own personalisation; sunday 500 cal fast, tuesday and thursday liquid fast. How fabulous is this diet? I'm making rules that work for me without feeling like a naughty schoolgirl everytime I tweek the original ones. Those diet clubs I (and probably most of you) ploughed money into for years had better watch...

Today has gone well, for one of those ''not at work fast days''. Not eating to around 1:30 helps. I will be well under 600 Kcal today. Give the circumstances of the upcoming week a further 36 hour fast is unlikely and I will have to miss the odd meal and do a 16:8 day to reduce my weekly calorie intake. Next week I shall fast on the 23rd,and try to be good on the other days and get back to the 5:2 fully in the first week of January.
I suspect that once I get down to near my target weight I shall do a mix of 1 day 600 Kcal, plus a 16:8 to keep me at my target weight. I must say though that people here are right,it does get easier to fast. This is the first none work day where I have fasted where I have not been really hungry at 4pm. I think that this has been due to better planning on my part.
I am becoming convinced that intermittent fasting is important for health beyond simple weight loss.

As all of you know who have read my posts on this forum, weekends tend to not be the best of times for me when it comes to this WOL. I am currently doing 6:1 for weight maintenance and usually, I will lose a lot of weight on my fasting day before maintaining that lower weight for most of the week, and then regaining it over the weekend. This last week has been no exception to that rule because after registering 72.1kg (which is 11 stone 5 pounds) at this time a week ago, I then lost 1.8kg with my fasting day to go all the way down to 70.3kg (which is 11 stone 1 pound). By this time, I had reduced my carb intake once again and with that, I then managed to maintain that same weight over the following day before losing a further 0.3kg at Thursday morning's weigh-in.

That took me down to exactly bang on 70kg (which is almost bang on 11 stone) and at that point, things were getting very exciting the prospect loomed that I could end up joining the 69 club on the following day, and possibly even...

I thought that my side curves felt just a tad bit curvier and decided to hop on the scale a few days earlier than the weekly weighing I had planned at the onset of this new lifestyle adventure. I was completely shocked!! Could that really be right? :?: It was showing a 5 lb decrease in four days!! It also showed a decrease in the body fat % and BMI!! How exciting. If this continues then I should be able to hit my goal WAAAAAAAY before my next marathon. I may even be able to hit it before I do my 10-miler at the end of May. :victory:
