I do not know what is wrong with me but I cannot stop eating. I am working hard at stopping when I feel full but know this is not enough. If I could just manage one fast I know I will feel better. If someone has borrowed my will power I need it back now please.

I ate/drank A Lot for 4 days over Christmas, which was fine, but I had just reached my target weight, and wanted to get on with maintenance. So as soon as I got home (where controlling eating is much easier) I weighed myself (2-3 pounds up?), and immediately fitted in 2 quick fast days sandwiching a controlled non-fast day, and by the morning of New Year's Eve I was back to my target.

That feels so much better than spending January moaning about not being the weight I want. I love feeling able to take action that works.

I did have coffee with friends who were talking about Christmas weight, and I said I'd already got rid of mine - and then apologised, because it felt a little smug. And why not? :-)

I love feed days, so much I can eat, nothing banned. But do you know, I don't want it all?! This is the biggest change for me, bigger than coping with hunger. I have bars of chocolate, the cake tins are full and normally I would be working my way through it all. Not now. I have had my breakfast and feel full. No space for any more. That didn't stop me either in the past. My binge habit did not stop because I felt full. I like feeling a bit empty. It is great to be hungry before a meal. Now I eat because I need to not because the clock says I ought to. And all because of fasting! I would like to tackle the sugar in my diet but that is a big one. Trying to eat clean food has greatly reduced the foods with hidden sugars so I am nit doing too badly.
On the home front...my new chicks are doing well so hope that continues. Today is a bank holiday here so no shops open! We are going to look at, and hopefully buy some antique dining chairs today. There are six, dark oak and heavily carved ( Henri...

I haven't even looked at my blog for the longest time. I guess I didn't feel like I emotionally needed to talk through my feelings anymore.

Well lets see what's happened since the last time I blogged. Well, in my life work is just busy busy busy. Christmas was chaos (as you can imagine with young children) I was grateful for the holiday. I got to spend New Years in Scotland with my love. Jamie and I have actually decided when he is going to be moving in here with me (beginning of April, my Spring Break) I'm so excited about this, it's great I won't have to wait 6-8 weeks to see him all the time. His family aren't especially taking it well, and honestly I don't think my family are thrilled about it but they'll just have to suck it up. We've been talking a lot lately about children and marriage. We've decided next year that we'd like to have a baby, but Jamie is old fashioned and would love to be married before we have a baby, so we would have to get married some time this year!!! I'm not...

Hello Everyone!

I officially started the 5:2 diet on the 4th February 2013 and wanted to give a progress report now I have the first full month of this WOE under my belt!

First a bit about me: I'm 31, have never been a yo-yo dieter or badly overweight, but like so many of us I have just very slowly put on weight...only about a pound or so a year, but after 10 years it all really adds up! I also had my first baby in April last year who is now nearly one year old. I managed to shift the majority of the baby weight quite easily but was been stuck on a plateau for the last 6 months at around 11st2, which for my height of 5ft6 pushed me into the overweight category and left me uncomfortable wedged into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

I went back to work in January this year after maternity leave, and just being away from home and the temptation of constant snacking allowed me to drop a few pounds over January to 10st12. Then I decided it was time to start 5:2! My husband and our two best friends...
