Am in still experiencing this 5:2 honeymoon period after 2 months? I have upped my exercise, stuck to the 2 day reduction, stopped gorging myself on rubbish, and have shunned most unhealthy activities...

Bit disappointed. Missed out on the job at the Vatican. Oh well, I am way to young.

Seriously. This approach is turning me into a born again. Not the religious type, but more the get up and go type.

I have been doing weight watchers for over a year (on and off) and find it's getting really tedious. I started 5:2 diet last week. I fasted Friday and Saturday successfully and lost 2 lbs. I decided to change my fast days to Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on. Yesterday (being Monday the day before my fast day) I ate really irresponsibly. I felt out of control. I think it was because of the anticipation of my fasting today. I have not weighed myself for my fear that I gained the weight back. Should I still do weight watchers on my feast days to control myself?

Been a bit carb heavy last few days(well even more so than usual) and I messed up my fast days. I forgot about the staff Christmas dinner today (Thursday) which is when I usually fast. So I'm not having anything else today, but as that won't be enough damage limitation I'm going to have to partial fast tomorrow as well. I hate fasting on Fridays, I don't do it really, but I'm going to have to if I want to lose this week.

Tuesday(fast day)
Veg curry
1 thin homemade ginger biscuit

Wednesday
apple
banana
noodles
with homemade spice mix half chicken stock cube and some cream cheese stirred in
granola
2 sweets
(1 boiled 1 mint)
1 piece homemade coconut oil chocolate
beef stew
rocky road
- 2 small pieces

Thursday...

So, first entry.

What can I say, I'm female, 26 and mum to a toddler of 2 and a half. I've never been skinny and never will be thanks to my genes that condemn me to a life of big chest, big boobs, small stature. I'm 5' 1" or so and my BMI is crazy high, I weigh 198lbs at the time of posting this message. My ideal weight is 120lb I think, I think I'll be happy if I can get down to a size 14 in trousers, size 12 would be considered a miracle. The main places I need to loose weight are my thighs, my tummy (baby belly), my bum and my chest, so a pretty good mix of everywhere really.

I (as of this week) exercise at least 5 times a week, I am doing a Davina DVD and increasing the amount I do every week as I am very, very unfit so I have had to start off gently.

I'm looking forward to doing the 5:2 diet as it's a diet that I feel that I have a real chance of succeeding at. I've found some great looking recipes for my fast days already and I can't wait to try them.

Thanks for reading!...

Whoops, I've been a bit slack with blogging, started so well at the beginning of the week. I think it's because I have net been weighing. I don't know how people do it. Not weighing that is.
Have had an ok week, fasted fine mon and weds, but blew it tues and thurs. Really must not have any booze, this lowered my resolve and I end up eating crisps and or cheese.
I was going to 5.3 this week but I felt a bit off today so had beans on toast at 11.45. Xmas cake, a mince pie and low cal hot choc at 3.

Napped a lot as well, but thats prob because I've been getting up at about 6.45, taking a walk after lunch and staying up till 11.
No nap yet today, I'm now dragging a bit.

Next week I'm going back to weighing daily.
