Another week has come and gone, as my title says, it's gone so fast! Feeling way more settled into this lifestyle of course still the occasional bump in the road but my attitude is so much better!
I'm no longer so hard on myself, I love the idea of it's only one day and I can have it tomorrow!. At the beginning of this journey I wanted to get into a healthy BMI range which I've done. Now I'm readjusting this to loosing another couple of kgs to be firmly in the healthy range and not on the edge of it. Today's weigh showed a 400gm loss and that's great! I got to indulge with friends on a couple of dinners out, complete with the odd glass of wine, didn't count calories but choose dishes with care and still recorded a sensible loss. I'm starting to be a bit proud of myself and that's a nice feeling
I now walk every morning with my dog for an hour, she loves it and try to do at least 2 sessions...

I am home from my holiday in Cradle Mountain. There were 12 of us, old friends and friends of friends, staying for 3 nights in cabins and eating together each night.

First to mention: everyone who was there who has known me for a long time commented on my spectacular weight loss. I forget, but old friends are a very good reminder of how far I have come.

Second, I was a lot faster going up the hills than in Feb '13 when I did the Overland Track with some of those people. They noticed that. It stands to reason. I left 14 kg at the bottom of the mountain.

Third, my special bushwalking pants, quite expensive, bought specially for the Overland Track in Feb '13, were threatening to fall down to my ankles. Specially when they got wet and my iphone was in the pocket.

My new scales gave me 69kg last Friday, after a fast day. I am only going to weigh once a week, on Friday. I am going to enter it into the tracker, religiously. I am not going to join any challenges or set any goals, other...

Second blog posting of the day. I did my grumpy post this morning before I had read I had won the blogging award here. So now you have all cheered me up    Thank you so much to those who follow me and just for reading. At least it is not blogging into cyberspace. It started out as self therapy, but I have really enjoyed the interaction from people here.

Anyway, some of you know this via PM, but the reason I have not been blogging as frequently in the past few weeks is that I have landed a job in San Francisco Bay Area. I'm scared stiff - the job, the move, the upheaval. But an opportunity of a lifetime. I have no idea how long it will last, but I have decided to live true to my signature. I leave...

this has been my second fast day although i do reolise the days not over yet.
i work a mixture of night and day shifts.i've decided that it will be much easier to make the days that i'm home after working nights my fast days.i don't get up till around 11 so don't eat anything till then.i would like to have food three times a day and have something left for a little something with a cup of fruit tea in the evening but it hasn't worked out like that so far.on my first fast day i had cereal for breakfast, today i had a boiled egg and a slice of toast.lunch the first day was 2 scrambled eggs and muchrooms which wasn't really filling at all.today i have been busy and didn't miss lunch so just had a yogurt.dinner tonight is fish with a swede and carrot mash.but that will be it then.on my first fast day i used just over 600 calories, today it's 550 so i'm getting there.i've ordered the book so when that comes i'm looking forward to getting more recipie ideas.

Last evening, after being assured I was well hydrated, I remeasured. I believe that this reading is more accurate than the one given in my post yesterday (21) for the reason that I'm dehydrated in the morning when I took that measurement. I'll re-measure again this evening to see if the 19 holds.
Yesterday, I did some more leg strength exercises. I did deep barbell squats at 135 lbs.(61 kg). I was surprised that my legs felt some stress from this weight, and I had to quit after doing 10. I sensed the possibility of a muscle pull about to happen, so I switched to simple body-weight squats. I made allowances in my 1,000 calorie fasting day for a protein drink -- just to help rebuild the damage done to my quadriceps. Hopefully this won't impact my ability to climb 300 foot hills (100 m) in 100 seconds (on my bike).
I'm continuing to improve my ability to do the crow stance. I was able to hold it for 40 seconds yesterday. I'll do some more today, though I can feel a lot of strain on...
