Just having started the 5:2 journey to a healthier life, I'm really interested to find out how anyone's existing medical conditions have responded to 5:2. I am only at the end of week 2 and 4 fasting days later, I haven't weighed and measured myself yet ..that's a whole different topic.. I have a head in the sand approach to the scales. Anyway my painful skin condition has had a relapse, the boils and cysts have become infected and I am wondering whether it is a response to my new way of eating. I will persevere my body will just have to get over it, this time I'm determined that the condition I have won't control me I'm going to control it. Does anyone have a condition that has improved or better controlled because of 5:2. :clover:

Today is my second fast. My meals are already planned and I've done it so I get breakfast, lunch and dinner but I'm hoping to be able to skip lunch. I've seen people who can go through their fast days with no food at all and although it seems to help the weight come off faster, I'm not convinced that its good for us. I've got nothing against people who do it at all but I think I prefer to at least have some food during feast days just to keep my body ticking over.

I'm feeling good today and I think this fast might be easier than Sundays one. I'm glad I'm doing my first 3 fasts whilst my BF is off work as I think it'd be a lot harder without someone here watching me.

I've changed my Graze Box order to once a week and changed it to their low cal box (between 50-150 cals). Hopefully this will either provide me with 'lunch' or a snack on my fast days depending on what else I have planned for the day. I can really reccomend the graze boxes, not cheap but convenient and tasty so I'm willing...

I found the "My Blog" function! I am so happy! This is EXACTLY what I wanted: a place to journal specifically about IF-ing.

For this first entry, I'll state my IF plan and weight goals.

I plan to do the 16/8 way, with a day thrown in of fasting.

During the 16 hr window,...

As ever, this is for my records and to look back at tough times when I need a bit of a push with things.

Feel quite secure that I'm now back with 5:2 and that 36hr liquid fasting is something that I can achieve a couple of times a week without too much hassle! Must remember to stay away from curry nights out with friends - they do too much damage on the scales - must either gain a much stricter control of myself or plug the idea of Pizza Express and their Leggera Pizzas (less calories!). Mind you a couple of glasses of red wine doesn't help - so more constraint needed there too! Keep going girl - part of the original 69ers Christmas Club - sooooo want to achieve that for myself
