OMG I've seen the light.... infused water is so yummy. A jug of water, half a lemon, half an orange, quarter of a cucumber, a few strawberries. A sprig of mint. Leave for at least 30 mins in the fridge. It tastes lovely like Pimms without the P. drink within 48hrs. It's supposed to be detoxifying and aid weight loss. But I find it tastes delicious. As someone who hates the after taste of some artificial sweeteners and wants to avoid Pepsi etc this is a wonderful alternative. I'm hooked.com. Any more recipies gladly recieved.

This Fasting is definitely a learning curve. At first I was really scared of it, scared that I wouldn't be able to last without food, that I would feel faint, get headaches, forget I was fasting and eat. All just a little silly now.
I've come to realise after only 6 fasts, that it's not the fast that is the challenge. It's actually quite easy not to eat for the day. One of the challenges is when you do start eating for the day, staying in control and not just eating too much because you haven't had anything yet for the day. It's more a mindset, that I must need food because I haven't had any, than actual hunger.
Another challenge that I have yet to work out is the day after the fast. This week I have felt weak, dizzy at times and just out of sorts on the day after the fast Now considering that we are having another major heat wave and I'm dealing with TTOTM, I'm not sure if it is the heat that is affecting me , not enough water, too much sugar or carbs or the day before's fast. But I...

Yes as the title says today I am weighing less than eysterday morning and it was a feed day. I ate normally around my TDEE, even had a small ice cream and some Nutella. The only explanation is that I went running, just an hour, so nothing exceptional, and this morning before weighing I went to the loo, which of course helped in the final weigh.
Just to make things clear I am not complaining at all.
Today I am doing my 19th fast and I just noticed that being the 16th of May I have been doing this diet for 2 months now and I can easily say I have lost around 5kg. My goal is behind the corner and the feeling is great.
Well if things go as usual with the fast day, tomorrow morning I should see a new PB, which always sets me on a good mood :victory: .
Have a great fasting day,
J

I'm down 2.4 lbs!

I was trying to decide if I should change my weighing day to a morning following a fast, but somehow I think doing it this way (the morning of a fast day) will give me a more accurate picture. Maybe it all balances out over the week anyway.
Ideally, I would like to lose another 16-17 pounds. If I make it, it will be the first time I've been lower than about 140 lbs in probably 20 years. I was 140 at my wedding 7 years ago and felt pretty good, so perhaps once I get there I will decide to switch to maintenance. I guess I'll wait and see!

Loving this plan more every day!

Fast Breakfast this morning:
Strawberries and vanilla greek yogurt with hemp seeds
Coffee with soy creamer ...

....I've just woken up to a winy and wet Thursday, safe in the knowledge that my fasting is done for the week. I fasted Monday and Wednesday. Monday was OK, Wednesday was tougher, but I got through it. I also did HIIT and weight training on my fast days and am glad I can enjoy the rest of the week. Strange how appealing a simply bowl of cereal and sandwich is! I had vaguely planned to add in Friday as a fast day, but I don't think I will.

Weighed myself this morning and I'm another 2lb down, with an inch off my tummy, so this does appear to be working. I am glad as I'm not feeling 100% today. I'm tired with aching muscles (as a result of the gym). No walk for the dog today (not with me anyway!).

I am going to enjoy a leisurely morning, with a long hot shower before work.

Onwards and upwards.
