So that was the first day :like: . It wasn't too bad. The evening before, I'd had a meeting and dinner, and someone I was sitting next to was also doing the 5:2! She told me that she had already lost 10lbs in 5 weeks, so this got me very enthusiastic and ready when I got up the next day to really get going. :) .
Most of the day was at the museum, moving display boards and cases - so fairly hectic. Coffee, lunch and tea times involved the biscuit tin - but I told everyone to shout at me if my hand wandered anywhere near, so I just drank my ginger and lemon tea
I enjoyed my meal in the evening - carefully calorie-counted, of course! And now I'm on my 'normal' day before I do it all again - this time involving a pilates...

A really nice summer recipe coming in at around 370 calories .
On a bed of little Gem Lettuce add some cherry tomatoes and cucumber . Boil 2 or 3 new potatoes and a stem of asaragus .Slice and place around the salad . Bake a piece of salmon , skin off , about 100 g . Place on top of salad with a runny poached egg ! Add a very low calorie dressing or make your own using lemon juice herbs , capers and a fash of white wine vinegar . Obviously weigh and calorie count but all should come in around 370 cals . Delicious !

Hi....today was the 2nd fast day for me and I managed to get through it reasonably well. I am a Primary School cook and am tempted daily with crumbles, syrup sponge, and many other lovely puddings! I was initially attracted to this plan because I'm tired of counting calories and points but it seems that lots of people are still counting on their non fast days. How much to eat on these days?? I'm getting confused. I've downloaded the Fast Diet book onto my I pad and have read it cover to cover. Help please!!!

Just as I got started again Monday's storm knocked out our Internet. Finally picked up new live box this evening.
I managed my fast on Monday but not today. Monday evening whilst the storm was raging and we had no power my elderly cat had a stroke, finally dying Tuesday morning. It has upset me greatly. She was two weeks short of her 19th birthday and had been with me from six weeks of age.
I will try again next week once my emotions are under control.

Current Actual Weight: 75.2kg (11 stone 12 pounds)
Current Trend Weight: 73.2kg (11 stone 7 pounds)

After the over-indulgences of Friday, I wasn't feeling all that hungry yesterday and went to my usual spin class on an empty stomach with the hope that this would help to get my body back into fat burning mode. However, this bout of exercise just served to bring that hunger back as the body seeks to recover that lost fat which is being burned.

As usual, I tried to do a 16:8 day, but I had a couple of haggis pastries at lunchtime, with a pear and a glass of milk. However, I then proceeded to eat some fruit cake and a couple of boxes of chocolate truffles later on. For my evening meal, I then had what I would normally have as a Full Scottish Breakfast, except that I had that for my evening meal.

That consisted of half of a mixed grill pack and for that, I had a piece of black pudding, a piece of lorne sausage and a piece of fruit dumpling. With that, I had two slices of bacon, two poached...
