5 transatlantic flights in one month have taken their toll on my body and my fasting schedule. I have also slipped into eating American junk food on non-fasting days and as a consequence I have gained a considerable amount of weight as some of you know.
I'm now in the UK for three weeks so a good opportunity to get back on track. The first job is to get the water retention under control. So today is a liquid fast day with plenty of dandelion tea.
I have a plan for the rest of the week but reluctant to share in case it does not work out that way. Just going to listen to my body.
I will post daily this week to keep me focused and so you can all cheer me on. Thanks! :victory:

So nothing new to report...Today is my first fasting day. I decited to get Chipotle..cause I figure it was the biggest bang for my 500 calorie buck...not too bad. Still felt a big hungry after..but once the obligatory 20 minutes passed..I was ok.

I dont forsee any issues today considering kiddo and I are getting our hair done...which takes about 4 hours since we have a boatload of hair.

I had a .3 loss this morning..should be interesting to see what tomorrow will bring.

First Day here! Seeking fellow brides and friendly folk

Hello! I am getting married 6/13/15 and as the big day approaches I am becoming more focused on getting in tip top shape! I am from New York but moved to Florida last year with my fiancé so he could finish his engineering degree. Planning a wedding from 1200 miles away is quite stressful but I'm realizing now that making my health and fitness a top priority amongst all the madness is only going to make things better. Passionate about health and fitness I earned my bachelors degree in Nutrition and Food Science last May. I have followed almost every " lifestyle" out there and after years of several crazy and rigid regimes I have finally embraced a more open minded and relaxed view on health and food. I'm all for people doing what works for them , in my opinion there is no "right" way! Studies and r...

Got sideswiped by two social events this week and not happy with the scales.....Went from a proud 142 to a dismal 146 in one week.....not sure how much will come off as stored water but find out. I think I need to count calories on non-fast days or at least make sure not to overindulge this much...I thought I had a free ticket on non fast days, but not so.

Fast day today! Back in the saddle and ready to roll..........( mixed metaphors notwithstanding.....)

Wednesday – eating “freely”, being aware of carb intake and not going OTT, fasting for 14 hours.

Achieved the 14 hour fast from Tuesday with breakfast around 9am.

Calories worked out around 1800 but not a healthy day due to a pre-booked afternoon tea treat. Mmmmm. Although controlled myself and limited it to two small scones with much less cream and jam than I would have normally piled on.

Would ideally like to eat more but of the right stuff on my next off day and need to find the time to plan.

Feel that planning is key.

Strangely I felt headachy, and slightly sick for most of the day. Maybe too many sweet things after two days fasting, and will watch for that on Saturday.

Not keen on facing the next two days....
