Weight 8st 5lbs
wooohoooo I thought I wouldn't hit that this week as I thought I had overdone it too much since the marathon but the 3 fasts paid off along with 25g carbs a day. So yesterday started fine as the last fast day but ended up around 700 cals due to alcohol. Also, I ate first thing which I shouldn't have as it flicked the hunger switch. SO the day looked like this:
8am: 2 hardboiled eggs (140)
lunch: homemade mushroom soup (55), P2B Peanut butter (45)
6pm: 1 teasppon pest(25), cauliflower rice (25), red wine (250), gin (60), cauliflower pizza bread (135)
So I was around the 700 cals mark but if I hadn't had the eggs when I did I reckon I would be able to have kept around 500. My third fast of the week is always going to be hard so if I can keep to 700 I will be happy if I'm around 300 for the other 2. The only other thing is that during the night I woke up with a terrible pain/burning/roiling in my tummy. I've had this before when I have alcohol on a very empty stomach and...

Today was soooo much better than Monday. Didn't eat till nearly 1pm, sugar snap peas, bovril and a quorn hotdog. New discovery Quorn meals and snacks. Whole meals with minimal calories! Definitely gonna get these when fasting at work for the microwave, or going to family over the Easter break to stay! Gym last night and this morning.
Am worried about fitting in exercise next week with kids off school and going to Yvette's.
Today no yuk mid afternoon feeling, but didn't drink as much as I could have. Must drink more next fast. Throat fells a bit sore too other than that I haven't felt deprived at all today. In bed now with herbal sleep tea, need a rest. Was so good, baked creme egg cupcakes...

So thats it then, got the first one out of the way and I have to say as much as I am looking forward to tomorrow I found it a lot easier than I thought I would. I relented at about 12:30 and had a Tescos Light Choices cup a soup at work. I think the 2 black coffees helped this morning aswell, although I'll let you into a secret - I'm not really supposed to drink coffee because I am a naturally hyper person, so if I'm honest I was as high as a kite this morning - no wonder I was'nt bothered about food!!
Water and fruit and spice teas have also helped and I can easily do this 2 days a week, it seems I made the right choice in deciding to follow this plan, fingers crossed it stays that way......

X-rays show 3 spurs in my heels. One of them grows upward into my Achilles tendon. After just a short walk I feel like I've been speared in my Apollo's wing on my heel.
Medical opinions are in...The podiatric surgeon would like to take out the spur pushing into my tendon. I think that will be best, too.
But, it'll have to wait, as travel begins in approx 20 weeks, and the recovery may overlap with the departure date. So, I'm under-exercising.
Ah! But what about the local, heated pool, you ask! The aqua-exercise could spur me to healing instead. Now, that's a really inspiring thought.

I forgot to say in my other entry that I started the 5:2 diet reluctantly. I have like many others done EVERY diet on the planet and was at the stage in my life were I was bored and fed up with my yo yo dieting over the last 30 ish years. However my daughter was getting married in August 2013 so I started the diet in February. It's a good job I did as the weight loss was slower than I expected. However the thing that kept me going more than anything was my husband Simon. He suggested and started the diet with me. I am competitive and I couldn't let him lose weight and me stay the same. He lost it a lot quicker than me, 2 stone in 4 months. I was proud of him. But if I'm being honest I was also a bit peeved at his steady weight loss and how easy he found it .grrrrrrrr. Anyway he kept me motivated and I am still going thanks to him! He looks amazing and is now off his blood pressure tablets for the first time in five years . Amazing! So thank you my Hubby, for kicking my a** Lol
