 AWESOME, this is the word I would describe this new way of life. In 4 weeks I have lost an amazing 6" off my waist and 15 lb lighter and various other inches have disappeared.
When I feel a bit more confident I will post my pics but for now I will carry on the good work!! :victory:

Just had the busiest week of my life, with no sleep and a lot of travelling. Haven't managed to fit another fast day in, so this week is 6:1. Again! I'm getting annoyed with myself, since I don't find the fasting days very difficult, still I've been too tired and down and stressed to do them!

Anyhow.

Tomorrow is another day, start of another week. And goddamnit I'm gonna do two fast days!

Don't even want to know my current weight... :frown:

Well I've sort of lost momentum on this 5:2 thing and I was doing so well.

I went in for partial hysterectomy in January of this year and tried and succeeded in maintaining my fasting and my weight leading upto and during the first few weeks post-op

3 weeks after the operation, I received a diagnosis which has meant more surgery plus some mentally/emotionally hard facts to accept about my health

I'm now two weeks after my second op (everything else taken out and pelvic lymph nodes) and am physically doing well. I know that eating well and maintaining my weight is more important now more than ever before but I have lost the motivation to fast and eat well/healthy craving carbs and sugars.

I weighed myself today and the scales gave me a wake up call, a gain of 3 pounds, so I'm determined not to let this "C" rule my world and will start back on track, fasting from tomorrow to keep my emotions in check and my body feeling good

What a year this is turning out to be.

Lately I am having mixed feelings about my fast days.
On one side I can't wait to have another fast day, because I know the day after I will see a drop in weight on my scale, on the other side I just spend the day about thinking how to get to dinner and have my meal. As I said in a previous blog, my days fasting till dinner are easier evertime (I am at my 3rd "fast till dinner") and I don't have hunger cravings, just I wait the day to pass till evening.
My yo-yo weight is still going on. Today I went up again over 77kg and it is kinda a have hit a plateau, because after the initial loss it seems I have stopped loosing weight and I am just going up and down depending on the fast/feed alternation and have now the same weight I had 2 weeks ago.
My training has increased lately a bit and hopefully I have put on more muscles. Another explanation is that I am overeating on feed days and therefore the loss is slower (or next to nothing) than expected. I really don't know, but will stick...

I rode horses, madly and wildly through the Australian bush land. We would gallop down fire trails, through scrub, race along beaches and jump fallen gum trees.

So many times I fell off.

So many times I got back on.

As an adult I seem much more fearful of the getting back on.

We all come a-cropper at some point in our lives, relationally, diets, work, family, home life.

Whatever you are struggling to get back on today. Let me say, you can do it. We can do it.

Let's make up our minds together to race wildy, ride freely and jump courageously through the obstacles of our week.
