Not sure what to write - it has been so long since I posted here! Since the November post, I did go back to fasting until the end of the year. It is a habit that has been so firmly ingrained, the familiarity has become reassuring to me. But what is the point of fasting when on non-fast days, I eat too much?
So very deliberately starting in 2015 I made a special effort not to fast. It was so very hard, but I knew deep down that I needed to address my relationship with food as a priority before it gets completely out of control.

The first thing that happened was that I read this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens ... t-fat.html and made a start. There is nothing earth shattering about this plan apart from the fact that there is alot less food than I have been eating in this past...

It's got to be my scales. 12.13....no blooming way.
How on earth can I have put on 5lb since Xmas. I am going to have to start exercising,
It's 6 weeks tomorrow since my op and at first I lost, prob due to the 2 days of barely any food from anaesthetic side effects. Then I maintained over Xmas doing 16.8.

well it seems after reading several blogs, that my frustrating same weigh in every week is normal and i have to hang on in there. i do enjoy the freedom of eating normal? food on non fast days as i lost my 3 stone the long hard way of calorie counting and exercise, now i use this diet to just try and shift my last 7lb, at least i am not putting the weight back on thats always a bonus,

I'm inspired by the way this diet is lighting up so many people who have struggled with food and weight. And I must admit cautious to venture down another path which could reveal its not going to work for me or success.

Take the blue or red tablet for magical changes.
I'm on the fence still, but I'm doing something joining this site. I think I'm doing something.

Lately I've been experimenting with saying no to food urges in the late hours going instead for water. It's a nice feeling to be in dialogue with the desiring one. She seems to not know the difference so far.

:victory:
That's a start.

Here we are already, on the third fast of the week. Nearly wrecked it this morning as daughter went out and bought croissants, my favourite pain au raisin freshly made this morning. They are particularly yummy from the Boulangerie! OH said to fast tomorrow instead but it is important to me to stay with my schedule so the offending item is now in the freezer. I will enjoy it all the more tomorrow.
A major landmark yesterday, I avoided emotional eating for the first time ever. Sadly yesterday afternoon Mrs Bob was taken from the garden, no doubt by a fox. The pair were asleep outside my back door which is how I think she was taken. I am very upset about it as is Mr Bob. Mrs Bob was stockpiling her eggs in a nest she had made in their house. This morning when I let Mr Bob out he had moved the eggs to his part of the house and was sat on them. They will not be viable now having had a partial sitting. So the search for a new Mrs Bob begins.
Fasting will be hard today but I will do it.
