So, after last weeks disappointment at a 1 pound gain, I've been very keen to weigh myself a week later. I've had a cold this week, and felt pretty rough, but despite that I stuck to the main routine.

So, much against my better judgement, I weighed myself this morning.

Imagine my surprise this morning, not only had I lost the pound that I gained last week, but lost the 2 pounds that I expected to lose last week!

Pretty pleased, as now I've lost a stone since I started tracking my weight on the 5:2.

Thanks Dr M!

Well, I must be a good few weeks into my diet. I wonder sometimes if I'll ever get down to my target weight. Sometimes I go a week without seeing any loss, I'm sure I'm not the only one to feel this frustration. My clothes do fit much better and I feel sharper, mentally. The diet suits me too; no continual calorie counting, just two days a week where life is a bit tough. I fast on Wednesdays and Saturday. The Wednesday is quite easy but Saturday is a bit tough. I chose Saturday because it stops me from doing the usual Saturday blitz (curry, etc). I hope all my other 5:2ers are all getting along and loosing weight without too many 'issues'.

I am totally out of control! Only one fast last week and have eaten way too much all week. I feel fat again! As of tomorrow I am giving up breakfast as a regular thing. I only have toast and coffee at the moment. I find on fast days I do not start to feel hungry until about 2pm. When I have breakfast I want second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, 3pm snack, dinner and chocolate in the evening. This tells me I am better without breakfast for now as it seems to trigger over eating. I would never have thought it possible.
I am back to being fully vegetarian and feel much happier. Means I will reduce the egg mountain! I guess there may be some sort of reaction to this. After all when I started eating meat my insides were bad. It will be hard letting everyone know I am veggie again but will just have to put up with any comments. I feel like I am me again.
So the battle continues, I will keep trying and one day I may even lose some weight. Just don't hold your breath!

X-rays show 3 spurs in my heels. One of them grows upward into my Achilles tendon. After just a short walk I feel like I've been speared in my Apollo's wing on my heel.
Medical opinions are in...The podiatric surgeon would like to take out the spur pushing into my tendon. I think that will be best, too.

But, it'll have to wait, as travel begins in approx 20 weeks, and the recovery may overlap with the departure date. So, I'm under-exercising.
Ah! But what about the local, heated pool, you ask! The aqua-exercise could spur me to healing instead. Now, that's a really inspiring thought.

Fast day today and looking forward to my next meal soon which will be probiotic plain yoghurt with five chopped strawberries. I've already had 2 boiled eggs and toast, tea, coffee and a banana. I was a bit of a pig yesterday and ate several Ferraro Roches chocs that someone gave me for Easter. I'm thinking about giving them away then I won't be tempted!
Just wish I could get out in the garden but its been snowing on and off with a bitter wind. Not Sunny Clacton today. When are we going to get some warmer weather?
