In one week, I'm down a kilo ..2.2lb & 4 cms from my waist. Lurving this 5:2!

Hope everyone else is seeing great results too. C

p.m. It's a pattern others have reported, & I'm seeing it too & that is oinking it up the day after a fast! I did a shop @ midday for fresh veggies & bought hot salami & shaved Edam cheese as well ..fatty boomsticks ..4 multi grain sandwich crackers with said cheese & salami later, erg. but the payoff is that I'm not at all hungry for dinner...

Today is my 100th Fast. My Fasting Anniversary is coming up in a few weeks (July 2nd). I have lost about 30 pounds. I'm a bit disappointed by that. I really thought I'd have lost more weight by now. But I've been struggling with a killer plateau and so progress stalled for quite a long time.

This last week was encouraging though. I stayed below 200 pounds for the entire week. Usually on the days between fasts, my weight pops back up above 200. But this week it stayed in the 190's. Today, my fast day started with 199. But this is still a victory. Hopefully this means I'll be moving into some new territory soon. I really would like to get back to making solid progress again because I still have a long way to go.

Onward!

Whilst this is supposed to be a fasting WOE, many of you know I have been trying to keep the carb levels down too. I was pretty pleased with myself over Christmas, but I think I have had a delayed reaction to the holiday season as I'm struggling to keep my carbs down.

The result is that I think I'm gaining. I'm not weighing at the moment and my waist is the same, but I put on a smaller pair of jeans today and they are tight around the thighs and hips. :curse: It could be water, but also I only did 6:1 over the holidays.

I last fasted on Sunday, a couple of failed attempts the last two days, so I'm trying again today. The culprit is sugar. There is chocolate in the house. It's good stuff (green and black's), but the last two nights I have had my hand in the box. Need to chuck it away.

So I'm wearing my tighter jeans today to remind me to do a good fast today. I have also put a rumblestop...

My weight loss these past weeks has slowed down which I thought would happen. I've lost 12 pounds in 15 weeks. Still, very happy with that! Christmas will be the most difficult time for me but I will do my best not to over indulge too much. :)

Today is my third fast day, yet again I feel I am clockwatching, I think if I was in work this would be easier but being at home with the kids means constantly being pestered for snacks etc. I really miss my milk filled coffees on fast days as they seemed to punctuate my day, I have three throughout and subtract the calories accordingly. I normally exercise to aid weight loss but again I find it difficult, I think it's the thought of pushing myself on an empty stomach but I will try today and see how I get on. For the record the 5lb i put on in transition I lost, along with an extra pound so progress is starting. I won't get my second weigh in until Thursday and I'm nervous and slightly excited about possible weight loss. I really really need to drink morewater on fast days, I know it is vital to metabolise the fat although that said it's no coffee replacement that's for sure!!
