a pound and happy - that's 4 pounds in less than 2 weeks. I don't really care how quickly I lose as long as I keep going steadily down til I reach goal. Next fast on Monday Jan 13.

Time has flown by fast. All off a sudden I have used up 3 weeks of vacation time. Even though it was a staycation (I live in a summer town where people flock to each summer) we have been busy. Each day more or less was filled with activities and what not. I did not fast nor did I ‘diet’. I ate sensibly and ate when I was hungry. I ate within the range of calories that I should be consuming and I ate all that I wanted. In other words, I did not suffer.

My weight remains stable in the range of what I can live with. I know scales lies but as long as it is within the range of when I stopped fasting, it means I did not gain weight. Food was not consumed until after 12 which was not hard as I slept late each day anyway and I stop eating around 9 in the evening.

With all the free time means I get BORED. When I am bored, I start cooking or baking. So I made beef stew that was mostly vegetables, I made vegetable curries and what not. I would not have time to make these complicated stuff in the...

I always hate any diet in the school holidays so this is a real test of 5:2 for me. I usually do Mondays and Thursdays fasting but I skipped yesterday because I thought I was going out in the evening and now I'm going out on Thursday instead so fasting today and will have to fit another in, prob Friday which will be hard. Might end up doing just one this week.

Annoying timing as I had a really good loss last week but had a sneak peek this morning and it has all gone back on again. I know it was stupid to weigh but it's done now. Got a bit of a negative attitude ATM which isn't helping but think I just need to ride it out and get my fast days done and trust that everything will feel better soon.

Went out with son tonight after fasting all day. Stuck to a small side salad and a lite beer!! Well, and one small onion ring that I positively savored much to his delight! Going to try and hold off breakfast til mid morning for a change then go to normal dinner for after a fast day. Mowed the lawn after work so hoping I worked off the onion ring! Lol. To bed now to dream my food themed dreams on a fast night! Not that I am hungry but proves I must be obsessing about food in my subconscious!

Morning and I hope you are all well this fine day, just before the temperatures plunge and send us all into winter!

And before you ask, no I didn't bottle it, I put on my wet weather gear and took the dog out, just in time for the rain to stop and the sun to come out. At the end of the walk I was like boil in the bag cuisine!

Yesterday I managed 1206 calories of my 1867 available. I am really keen to create a good calorie deficit because that is the way I got below the 10 stone mark the last time. So I am using an old "diet" book for the food plans it has which are aiming for around 1200 a day on non-fast days. There are a lot of these books around and this one is by Rosemary Conley. Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating the diet, just using the suggested meal plans to help me create a deficit.

Yesterday I had a 200 calorie breakfast - banana and yogurt; a 300 calorie lunch made up of 3 ryvita and half a tub of cottage cheese and a yogurt; a 450 calorie dinner consisting...
