must be the Saturday Fast! Unlike Indiana Jones I have failed to Fast and find that Grail - in fact after my Saturday I would be better off drawing a veil over the Grail

But today is another day and a Fast day at that, so for all who are Fasting today - good luck.

And thank you to Caroline for your lovely supportive message, the wee doggie comes from FreeSmileys.org, they have loads of them - I try not to go overboard Image But it can be very tempting!

Is today and the second fast this week. I have had to eat already as I was a bit wobbly after the gym this morning so I had a scrambled egg with a spoon of coconut milk in it. Much better now.

I went over my TDEE yesterday which will be the second time this week (I am assuming I went over last Saturday). Be interesting to see what the impact will be later this week. My weight is up a couple of points this morning and still higher than last Friday.

Calories 1800 (346 over)
Carbs 39% (120g - over target)
Fat 41% (56g - bang on target)
Protein 20% (63g - in range)

Breakfast was a small bulletproof coffee and a couple of slices of low carb pumpkin bread. Lunch was on the run as I was out and about so I had a slice of home made sugar free tea loaf.
We had friends over for dinner and this is where it all fell apart. One chicken tagine, cheese and biscuits plus a cocktail and wine, took me over my TDEE. The booze calories were 635. I need to learn a little more self restraint.....

Weight: 8st6.5

Ok so a fluctuation but its to be expected- I know it's not real. Today is a weekend and its a full day with a coffee morning for someone wiht cerebral palsy, a beauty appointment, a 1st bday party and finally babysitting that night.

So the day looked like this:

8am coffee
11am: large scone with butter, cream, jam (400), shortbread biscuit (150)
4pm: 1/2 egg salad sambo (200), crisps (50)
8pm: wine (500), takeaway (1000), cheese cake (200)

Total: 2500 - yikes although the epic coffee morning scone was a big downfall for me. I wasn't overly full either I have to say

I give the day 7/10 because while I did eat 2500 cals, I didn't eat like a lunatic as I usually do when it comes to parties and events like the above

went on holiday with my mum and decided it would be best to skip the fasting for a week as she'd only get worried and think i have an eating disorder. like you know those parents who always make you eat a LOT and get super worried if you don't have seconds or skip dessert? well mine are like that (no wonder i've had weight problems since i was a kid but my parents are lovely and i guess it's a generation thing. when they we're growing up food wasn't as readily available as it is now).

so anywho, i came home yesterday and now it's fasting monday as usual. but i didn't gain any weight during the holiday so that was nice, but we went to London and walked around 7-10 hours every day so i got a lot of excercise. :)

but i felt sort of... heavy without the fasting. the fasting makes you feel so fresh and energetic so i missed that.
