Finally hit the nail on the head this morning and decided to give this 5:2 diet malarkey a go! Spoke to the husband about it and he said "as long as it doesn't cost a butt load, go ahead!" how's that for encouragement! lol,

So...Planning as it stands atm is, Mondays and Thursdays are going to be my fasting days, so avoid me like a rabid dog then as u may get eaten! nah, just going to need a swift kick up the harris when i inevitably waver, but hopefully whinging my face off on here will help that little bit!

This is going to be a short blog today as I now have no idea what to say! lol, feel free to wave hello at me, a friendly face is always lovely to see!

Well, I was amazed to see how i looked in a photo last week, all about which I posted on the forum. Gee it made me feel special to get so many compliments from other forumites. You don't get that many people in real life saying how great you look! I think middle aged women are somewhat invisible. And people who see me a lot haven't noticed because my weight loss has been so slow.

However to return to the pants' saga. I have documented here my big moment when I purchased size 15 pants, a few months ago. Now those pants are loose. I can put my fist into the waist band.

I have just made a bold step and bought some pants in size 14. I always used to be size 14. When I learned to sew in my 40s, I used to perfectly fit size 14 patterns. IT's been a long time since I fitted into that size.

These pants are red!!!!!

It's a huge statement of confidence. I don't know if I'll fit into these pants, but I know I will one day and probably this summer. Perhaps this is my Christmas outfit.

Weight 8st 7.5

Ok so today is my official weigh in day. Overall I'm down - this time last week I was 8st 7.75. Not a huge drop BUT AND WARNING TMI ALERT: I'm premenstrual and I do find I slow up. I definitely feel thinner and I'm happy enough for the wedding on Sat. I'm going to be careful what I eat today and maybe I'll weigh even less tomorrow ;-) INterestingly, the weight loss calculator in this forum predicted I'd hit 8st 7lbs this week. I only hit 8st7.75 so I'm going to put back in my statistics and reformulate based on my current weight

So yesterday I was delighted with myself - I didn't struggle too badly til the end of the night where my OH had pizza chips...

So I don't know if it is the 5:2 or if it is that I took suggestions from a thread on this forum, but my skin is glowing!

For the past few months I have been noticing that my skin had a very matte/flat finish. I have always had great looking skin, and since I consider it one of my best features I was not willing to sit idly by and watch it turn chalky!

So I read in a thread on here about "No.7 Lift and Luminate" creams. Then the next day I was in Target (I am in the US and had not heard of No.7 before) and there they were. So I bought the day and night creams and added them to my regimen.

Now since that was the day after I started 5:2 I don't know which helped, but I like them both, the creams and the 5:2, so no problem!

Thanks to all those who suggested it.

Who would have thought that 12 days in on a diet and I would have lost 11 lbs and 3 inches off my wait, this is now becoming serious....

I am no longer binging yay!!!!

I am no longer saying one little bit won't hurt!!!

I am ignoring all the cakes and pastries at work, which I now call brown food, as it is not colourful it is not healthy!!!

I am saying no to it all!!!

Who is this woman that I see in the mirror WOW it's me!!!

I say say woohoo to the fast diet coming in to my life, I feel that my life is about to change forever.

My daughter left home the other day and I am now in the house on my own,I thought I would spend all the time stuffing my face, well I have proved to myself that my willpower is stronger than the need of food, exciting times ahead and I wish everybody else the same, it makes me feel confident, and that is a life changing moment in its self

Happy days x
