Today I woke up and thought today I'm just going to eat anything and everything I fancy. A small holiday after two months and a half of IF-ing. I'm at 74.9kgs having gone down from a start of 80 something so it's deserved. I have made a yummy casserole in the slow cooker for dinner, I'm not going completely bananas, but I have just had a slice of lemon cake and earlier marmalade on toast, also avacado on matzo, also 3 slices of pineapple. Couple of slices of cheese too ... It's all good!

Day 101, Fast 33 today. A third of this WOE fasting.....and one hundred days completed. Not a bad batting average overall in three months. Over that time I have tried this WOE every which way (5:2, 4:3, 6:1, 16:8, ADF, 24 hour zero fast, 36 hr liquid fast). I don't have a favourite, what I do is select a way that suits my mood and lifestyle at the time. It's time to record what I have learned as I feel I need a good kick in the butt for the next phase:

I started this for health reasons. I won't know the full results of that until I have my medical next week. However my BP is back in the normal range and my BMI is now healthy rather than overweight.

The different ways of fasting are a good set of tools to have depending on what is going on in your life. It keeps it fresh and novel to keep mixing it up. ...

Thursday
-- Fast
-- weighed in, but neglected to note the weight, it was heading up though, but was expected.

Friday
-- Feast
-- Did a one hour - twenty minute bike ride; GPS gave me a 1000 calorie burn.
-- Weight after exercise... 179.4. I seem headed in the wrong direction.

Saturday
-- Feast
-- Lazy day no exercise
-- Bitter disappointment. Weight back into the 180's... 180.2

Sunday
-- Feast
-- Weighed in after breakfast, but before exercise at 182.6. This was alarming... Over a period of 4 days, I had gained 5.6 pounds, and one of those days was a Fast day. It is sort of obvious that you cannot eat without constraint on the Feast days.
-- Went on the 10.5 mile walk, averaging 3.4 mph pace (up from 3.3 on the previous walk... accomplished by intermittent running.)
-- Weight after exercise 179.8

Monday
-- Fast
-- Weighed in this morning at 181.2. After yesterday's scare I felt reasonably good about this.

So I am not used to writing a blog. I have started the diet about 3 or 4 weeks ago, failed a few times but definitely getting better at fasting. The first time I didn't manage the whole day. I just wish to get to the point as you don't think about it as a diet anymore and it's just part of your weekly routine. :clover:
