bloody amazed ! got into work and onto the scales and I have lost 5lbs. Did it twice just to make sure. Now that's with only 2 fasts this month and they were partial ones, sometimes there is no understanding weight loss.

So in total since I started I have lost one stone eleven pounds.

I'm really not losing weight at the rate initially promised by my early losses. A month since my last blog post, and I'm still at 4 kg loss. It's been up a bit, down a bit, up a *lot*, slowly down again, for weeks. There is a slow trend downwards, but it really is extremely slow.

I've tried not weighing, and weighing daily (which I think gives me more control on my feast day eating). I'm still doing 16:8 on the day after a fast day, so that's 4 days a week with some level of fasting.

I am happy to report I am sleeping better on fast nights now. On fast days I stick to clear liquids, black tea, water, miso soup etc until dinner. I eat most calories then, and save a bit for a carb snack (1 piece of toast or similar) just before bed.

This past week I've been counting calories on feast days, just to check that I'm within the recommended daily intake, and I am.

So, I guess my body just loves to hang onto weight. I'm pre-menopausal, which doesn't help, and I'm on various medications which...

My boyfriend seems interested with my new WOE and he's looking to lose weight as well. So I decided to switch my days for Sunday and Tuesday in order to be able to fast one day with him. I don't know if he'll go as far as 2 days a week but on my side it will allow me to throw an extra one here and there. I had 3 fast days this week and lost a little bit over 2 pounds. I'm now back at my usual plateau of 174 lb. Anything under this weight will make me incredibly happy. I aim to go under the 170 mark and to start seeing some 60's before my birthday at the end of November. That would be the slimiest I've ever been since my 18th birthday, 11 years ago.

Evening all,

Nearly finished my third fast day. I find I range between being elated and starving but I'm sure my body will acclimatise!

I'm going to do my first weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed I see a little change!

I'm finding that if I stick to similar meal plans that I don't have to think about calorie counting so its less stressful. The one thing I'm delighted about is that after a fast day food tastes amazing and I'm really enjoying quality over quantity!
