I had been waiting since lunch time for this meal, what a dissapointment

I guess the key to this diet is "be prepared" rather than the usual way of "I'll wing it".

Dinner this evening was :

Steamed Fish with Chillie and Garlic (90 cals)
Steamed Spinach. (18 cals)

Mental note to self, be prepared and don't use products that have vinegar as their main preserving agent.

Here's looking forward to the 40 cal chocolate drink I have been saving for this evening.

Roll on Wednesday, give me your best shot.

Today's my first day. I haven't eaten since 8.00 pm last night. I'm going to the gym at 12.30 and then I'll eat when I return (only about 125 cals though) then main meal tonight. Feeling hungry and my stomach's rumbling but I'm determined.

So I went away for five days, during which I gave absolutely no thought to what I ate and drank, other than to really enjoy it. I did my usual Thursday fast the day before I left, missed the Monday fast and got back into 5:2 on Wednesday. My weigh-in day is Wednesday and out of curiosity I did weigh myself, although I didn't enter the result in the Progress Tracker. I weighed 2.4 kg (about 5.3 pounds) more than the week before, before my trip. Exactly one week later today, after a week of being back to 5:2, I have lost the 2.4 kg plus 400 g (nearly a pound). Have I mentioned before how much I love 5:2?

I had a fantastic time while I was away, went to a festival of sorts with a friend and we dressed up in 19th century-style clothing. Six months ago, 17 kg heavier, prior to 5:2, I would never have had the confidence to do that. Now I loved being stopped by people who complimented me on my outfit...

it begins ;)
Wednesday this week will be my first fast day. I have it planned. Wednesdays I never eat until about 1pm anyway because its a busy morning at the supermarket and running errands. I have often noticed that even when I do finally eat lunch on Wednesdays, I don't really want it - so it should be an easy stretch to have a boiled egg (85 calories) just before I pick the boys up from school and take them to squash club. Then I can have shitake noodles with vegies and pasta sauce for dinner and that should be it. I actually might be over confident about Wednesdays, I think they will be a complete doddle.
The other fast day is a little more problematic. I do Boxfit Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri mornings, and its a very hard workout that often causes one or two very short-lived and minor bouts of nausea, and there's no way I could go without a decent breakfast on those days, or even have the confidence to try...

Morning all - especially those of us who are Fasting today. It's not been a great week and I've got one Valentines and two birthday parties to go - never mind, I'm looking on next week as the start of a big opportunity to get into a proper rhythm of Fasting and good general behaviour - some of that does not come easily to me :sleepy:

Anyway I hope you all have a lovely surprise after Fast day - and I'm not talking about George Clooney, Brad Pitt or Daniel Craig popping up on Valentine's Day.....although maybe that last one...hmmmmm : :inlove:
Thanks to Danielle for your comment - I may have added a couple of extra bricks :thunder:
