This might be my last blog entry... For a while at least.

I am at the end of my 6 week challenge, off on holiday tomorrow. Overall, I am happy with what I have achieved in terms of my objectives.

- I have had less mindless eating in the evening than prior to the challenge.

- In terms of gaining insight into my evening eating (in addition to eating out of boredom, for comfort and reward, which I already knew) I think that evening eating, particularly when I am not hungry, has a lot to do with the immediate pleasure of eating. Something that is difficult to get so easily from other sources. Not sure that that helps much tho!

- a glass of warm water with a squirt of lemon juice throughout the day does seem to help reduce the amount I eat each day

- a very filling dinner helps limit evening eating (most of the time)

- I am still able to use fasting as an antidote to overindulging (hopefully not needed too often...), but otherwise don't want to do fast days as a regular thing, though...

SO I'm going to slightly change the format. I have decided not to weigh and record my weight every day. As you can see I fluctuate wildly. I thought by recording the fluctuations, it would help remember that overall there is a downward trend but it doesn't - it just worries me. So I'm going to do 1 weigh in day after my last fast of the week to give me the greatest motivation.

So my fast day Friday was a total right off - I'd say I ate about 2500 cals

Bfast: bagel (200)
lunch: roll with wedges, cheese, garlic mayo, bag of crisps (700)
SNack: Quark (165)
Dinner: snacky bits at party (700)

Total 1765. I just kept picking and picking. SO the next time I'm at something like that - I will definitely set myself a challenge not to pick but limit myself to try and break the habit. I used to be very controlled about that before but now I'm terrible.

I give the day 5/10 due to my lack of control

Day 20
I wake up feeling extremely bloated from the night before- so much so that I have to force...

I had a good third week. The fasting days are becoming easier. I even tried a fast day with only coffee with soy cream in the morning and fasted all day (12 hours) until late evening then had a light dinner. I always thought I would have a very hard time going without breakfast, but it wasn't bad at all.

My weight was essentially the same this week which was a little disappointing. Last week 150.0 and this week 150.2
:frown:
Oh well, I guess we'll see what this week brings.

I'm switching my fast day from Monday to Sunday this week, due to having a meeting on Monday and probably going for lunch with my sister afterwards.

Had a good fast today, only drinks, not even a marmite drink at lunchtime. I think I am getting the hang of it after a dozen fasts. I have made mistakes but hopefully learnt some lessons. Such as be careful day after the fast not to stuff myself.

Not a good day in that I woke up with a sore eye which stung like mad. Had planned to paint an acrylic picture but I just could not focus properly and I had to give up. I put drops in and rested with closed eyes this afternoon and this evening it feels a bit better. Cross I have wasted a day. Also felt very cold today, have noticed some others get that.

Red Nose Day is on and I'm waiting to see Mrs Brown's Boys, I know but I like it.
