First of this week's 4:3 starts today. I had planned to walk Gemma the collie but it is WILD outside, in fact I'm pretty sure we're not in Kansas any more!

Unfortunately that means I need to resort to Plan B - Housework

I'm still noting down my calorific intake and was around the 2200 - 2300 both Friday and Saturday so that is around 125% of my TDEE. I had breakfast both days, and I was sure that I had eaten more in calories than I had, Dr Krista said that her subjects found it hard to eat more that 125% of their TDEE and so far I'm the same when I just let loose!

Right, where did I hide the vacuum cleaner.....?

I feel like I've entered the doldrums of weightloss, where everything goes sooooo sloooowly.... But I've finally touched the 152's! Yay! And I went clothes shopping this past weekend (my body was looking so frumpy in my baggy old clothes) and I now wear 8's and mediums (USA) instead of the 12/14's and L/XLs I was wearing before!!! I felt fantastic, to say the least! And I'm only just over halfway to my goal weight! When I was 142 lbs, I remember being able to fit into 6's, and I imagine when I get to 136 lbs (my goal) I'll be fitting into 4's, which I've never done in my whole life!

My progress is reminding me of my friend who first told me about 5:2 three or four years ago and successfully lost a significant amount of weight on it over the course of 6 months. I'm so delighted to be following in her footsteps!

Going back to the subject of slow weight loss, I realized that the reason I have been so frustrated with the slowing pace of it has very little to do with this method of eating...

I have just completed my 6th fast day and managing fairly well. I hit around 550 calories today so getting closer to the magic 500 but not quite there.

Feeling fine overall and the hunger during fasting has diminished with each fasting day completed. But (Sorry to be graphic) I have not been to the toilet for FIVE DAYS NOW!!! :frown: I"m usually very regular ie at least daily. Im eating tonnes of veg & fruit along with copious amounts of water so  My food consumption overall is reduced, even on feast days as Im tending to need less & what I am eating is healthy.

Is anyone else suffering the same & what remedies are you employing?

That is how I usually feel but something has happened! I have just had toast and coffee for breakfast, no cereal or porridge. I didn't feel like any more. What you say?! You who loves her breakfast? Yup, I didn't want it. Maybe finally the fasting is having an effect. Hallelujah! With my portion control plate arriving soon I will be sorted. I hope! It has taken a long time for me to hear what my body says, I have heard a few whispers but this was a shout for me. So, a slice of toast made from the bread I make, with real Normandy butter and at the moment home made lemon curd. When that is gone I have homemade quince jelly and black currant jam. With the jam I will make with this years fruit and only four breakfasts each week I will have enough to last the next year. All good. Also no more dilemma of finding suitable cereal. Reduces my carbs too. All good stuff!
So today I will visit my usual Thursday market and have coffee with my Thursday friend. Then I will come home for lunch and spend...

Current Actual Weight: 70.8kg (11 stone 2 pounds)
Current Trend Weight: 72.1kg (11 stone 5 pounds)

Yesterday was very much a landmark day for me because as I have now been following this WOE for 100 days as of yesterday. That to me, is 100 days of IF, but that is not the same as 100 days of the 5:2 diet because not every week has been a 5:2 week. Prior to the beginning of this week, I have had one 6:1 week (right at the beginning of this WOL) and one 4:3 with every other week being a 5:2 week, and I am currently in a 6:1 week.

It is been very much a roller coaster ride with massive swings in my weight both upwards as well as downwards within some very short periods of time, although the general trend continues to be downwards. That first 100 days of this WOL has brought low calorie feeding days, 16:8 days and even a short period of ADF during that 4:3 week which means that I've been through just about every form of IF that is possible at some point in time.

It is going to be interesting...
