Today has been an interesting one. Good interesting. Up until now (being 8.30pm) I managed to only have two ginger teas and a sugar-free chocolate drink with only water and a teaspoon of coffee (approx 9 cals.) I was trying as best I could to leave my meals as late as possible to help get to sleep, and I think it's just easier on my head if I don't have to think about spacing my meals out.

Gotta say, I found it hard. I was alright up until about 3pm then I really had to go hour by hour to get through. At about 5pm the sugar-free chocolate drink in boiling water was amazing. The heat and massive change in flavour was brilliant. I can understand where people come from when they drink oxo or something similar. I'm not sure if I could do that personally, haven't had the stuff in the house to try, but just the massive change in temp and flavour is satisfying. But I did feel weak and tired. Thankfully I don't work so was able to hide in my bedroom and read from 5pm until about 8.15pm. It was...

The start of another week, and a weekend of food and drink:( I feel all the hard work put in has gone to waste , but I refuse to weigh in until I've completed a month. I fear if I did it now I'd be disheartened.. I could kick myself I had it all planned a couple of drinks then home but oh no I had to drink to excess and ended up in an Indian restuarant at midnight Saturday :( MIDNIGHT EATING!!! What was I thinking??? So this week is a penalty week , fasting Tommorrow and Friday and fitness training tues we'd thur fri AND sat this week with a picture of me at my greatest fatness pinned up on the fridge.. By the end of this week I hope that I realise that with a weight change comes lifestyle changes too and not to go to the excess that I did out of pure greed. I didn't need those drinks I didn't need that curry I DON'T WANT this body any more !!!

I've been doing IF for about a month now, doing 16:8 eating window, although most of the time it's more like 18:6. I have never tried doing a full fast before because I just thought that I couldn't do it. I did try to push my feeding window to 20:4 a couple of times, but each time had been rough, the hunger pangs were intense and after breaking fast I felt sick. So I thought I'd never do it again.

I have been doing quite well losing weight using 16:8 window, as you can see on my progress tracker. I wasn't even doing it everyday, just 4-5 days per week but the weight kept moving down. Until last Sunday when I had a big splurge and saw a big jump on the scale  . I was not happy about it, and I felt like I needed to do some damage control. So I decided to try doing a full fast day.

So on my last meal on Sunday evening was at 7 pm. Afterwards I didn't eat anything, only had water and tea (no sugar)...

Wmr309's comments have certainly given me food for thought. No pun intended.

Anyway, yesterday I ate my std brekkie and lunch, and had lots of veg with a small amount of bolognaise sauce for dinner, plus the orange. No cravings or wish to eat in the evening, but I made a conscious decision to have some chocolate, for emotional reasons (!) but I had no problems with that decision, and only had a relatively small amount (for me!).

Felt good this morning, have fasted so far, as per normal Wed fast, because it fits my routine not to eat til mid pm. I am deciding whether I will have a late lunch, or wait til dinner time. I will perhaps let hunger dictate??

I had been waiting since lunch time for this meal, what a dissapointment

I guess the key to this diet is "be prepared" rather than the usual way of "I'll wing it".

Dinner this evening was :

Steamed Fish with Chillie and Garlic (90 cals)
Steamed Spinach. (18 cals)

Mental note to self, be prepared and don't use products that have vinegar as their main preserving agent.

Here's looking forward to the 40 cal chocolate drink I have been saving for this evening.

Roll on Wednesday, give me your best shot.
