oooohh... two hectic days and too much eating I'm afraid. Hope I havent undone what I did last week :(

Feeling bloated this evening, but fast day tomorrow will fix that again. Wasnt even hungry today, but away at the Highland Games with the family so just overindulged.

Going to do a few evening walks this week just to give myself a chance to recouperate overeating today.

The up side is I'm not running around thinking 'well I've fallen off the wagon so I may as well stay off it' which is usually what happens with me. These werent fast days so I can forgive myself and just fast tomorrow again as planned.

Will see how it goes this week.

Good luck all

ps I know there are some arguments going on re diet coke etc, but just to say that I do have a can around lunch time on my fast days and it obviously didnt have any effect on my weight loss so I'll do that again tomorrow, gets me over the difficult...

It has taken me to the end of January to get here, but here I am. 15 stone something. I don't even know what the something is because my scales broke before Xmas and there has been, er, Xmas in between. The new scales with body fat monitor are hopefully arriving tomorrow though so I am looking forward to facing the music and beginning to track things better.

I have had a lifetime of poor eating habits, and since having my kids and developing a low thyroid, I am my heaviest ever. I know exactly what is wrong, it is the changing that is hard. I have used the fasting method before and found it really helpful, mostly because it worked more on my head and my heart than my belly or thighs. In other words, it helped me deal with my cravings, overrating, sweet tooth and other bad habits.

I am feeling particularly excited today. Its my fourth actual fast day and, for the time in two weeks, I feel great. First fast day was ok, second was pure hell, third was slightly better than ok, and today I feel amazing. Its a public holiday here in Spain, and my two daughters had three friends over for lunch. I spend the morning preparing and weighing food for my evening meal and at the same time preparing a lunch of pizza, bread, chorizo, mashed potato with cheese, and various other yummy stuff. However because for the past 12 months I gave up sugar and wheat I didn't crave anything I was preparing. However the roast chicken smells did have me salivating! I just finished my 450 calorie meal, which consisted of 6oz chicken breast, and an incredible amount of raw spinach, green peppers and tomatoes with some garlic and white wine vinegar. I actually couldn't finish it!! Well I am committed to this way of eating now. I love the fact that I can feel my waist getting smaller, and that...

I guess being patient and just keeping on has worked; despite Thanksgiving in the mix, I finally lost 2.2 lbs at today's weigh in. Sure, I say that weight loss is only one "side effect"--but it's a nice one! Sure helps with the motivation to keep going. Note that I'm weighing in only once a month (first Friday).
