Tuna, beans and salad have never tasted so good! Must admit I was hanging out for dinner last night. Did force myself to eat slowly, take notice of what I was eating and so manged to stretch my meal out for 25 minutes. Have read it takes about 20 min for the brain to feel that you're full, or something like that. Anyway it worked :like: Was quite happy finishing off with a green tea.
New issue though, poor sleep, up repeatedly to pee! Not sure if not sleeping was getting me up more often, as in you're awake and might as well go the the toilet or vice versa, will monitor this reaction. Will check the forums to see if others experience this.

This morning, glorious breakfast, in fact I have thoroughly enjoyed my food all day! Even had a skinny latte, oh how I missed the caffeine yesterday!

Plan to fast again tomorrow, only day that I can see this week that will fit, still a bit apprehensive...

This might be a premature post but I fasted properly today. I dropped the carbs back yesterday which seemed to have helped and I would like to think I'm back on my journey. I'm actually not sure I could actually do 5:2 properly if I were high carb.

Anyway, back to normal and even able to count calories as I have eaten things that are either familiar or the calorie count is posted on them.

Calories 356
Fat 21g (47%)
Carbs 21g (21%)
Protein 31g (32%)

Late morning snack. 2 slices of Julian's Bakery paleo bread, toasted, spread with coconut oil.
Lunch. Spicy prawn spanish stew. Made with half a tin of tomatoes, half a red onion, garlic, tomato puree, shirataki noodles and 10 prawns.

That will do. It feels like a relief and looking forward to how I might be feeling in the morning as I normally feel good after a fast day.

Oh, well. I just realised that I have a blog and that I can post something in it.
This is not gonna be the longest entry, but my first one. Been here for 15-16 weeks now?

It's 1.40am and I'm in bed but clearly not asleep. Today (or yesterday if you want to be technical) I ate. A lot. More than usual. This is not good. I need to cop on and just eat normally on feast days. And I would swear that I have grown an extra chin in the past 24 hours. And while said chin will probably negate the need for a scarf on these cold days, I would still rather it went away. And away it shall go, for tomorrow we fast!

Should have been a fast day but woke up hungry with no motivation to fast. Tomorrow we have the assessment of the electrics we have installed in the Gite. If we get the certificate we will be switched on within a week. Meanwhile I have to go back to the UK again this weekend for yet another assessment on my father. He has Alzheimer's and the care home he lives in is closing and I am trying to find another place for him.
Not likely to get any fasts in this week. My head is fit to burst with all that is going on.
