Take away one symptom and another takes over its place. I have bad tension migraine and stiff shoulder and neck for years. I have worked hard on it and to tackle it. I exercise and eat well. I get messages when I feel like I need it. With the latest craziness, I should be a walking stiff wall with permenant headache on a verge of my third bout of severe depression. Nope I was not. I was fine emotionally, my messuer said my back was good, she expected worst after listening to my latest life challenge.

Then something was telling me, check your blood pressure. I of course listen to it, and wham I was hit it an extremely high number. After checking the batteries and doing several checks in a day, I kept getting high number, and hubby checked his. It was his machine and has high blood pressure that is medicated and he came back with ok numbers for him.

I called my doctor's office and of course he is on Vacation. This is Norway, everyone is free especially when you have kids. The schools and...

Its been an interesting week. I usually commute into London (about 90 minutes either way) twice a week, which I enjoy, and isn't too demanding, but this week I went in every day, on a big project. I still have the ear problems hanging over from a Christmas cold, which keeps me awake with the pain, so all in all, its been an exhausting week.

On the up side, I have made real progress at work, so I'm glad I've done it, and my son got some great results from his early GCSEs, cue much celebrating. And my OH looked after me wonderfully this week, the house is much more ordered, and he filled the freezer with home cooked meals. I feel very blessed.

I've complied pretty well with my multi-prong health approach. I did a good 36hr liquid fast on Monday, 16:8 on Weds-Friday, and kept carbs under 50g per day, except for Thursday when we went out for a celebration. Step count has been good - over 8k every day, and actually made the magic 10k on Thursday. And I've really enjoyed the food, especially...

Strange eating diet this one. After 4 days of not fasting, two social dinners but all home cooked and a saturday lunch out with partner, the fast days feel a long time ago.It feels too unreal to think one could lose weight so easily.....we will see.
Tomorrow is another fast day ,the start of week 4, a break for a day and then another one. I will weigh in after that and let you know.

Down 2.6 lbs this week (for a current weight of 160.4 lbs) after a rough week of plateau-ish numbers! Yaaaaay! It's funny, even though so many people mention that sudden drops happen after plateau, it's still rough when you're in one, even if it's only for 9 days. This will be a great reminder to myself to make it easier the next time it happens to keep the faith and follow the plan. The exciting part is that yesterday it was 160.0 and I got the chance to see the scale finally flicker into the 150's!!!

Soon enough the holiday season will begin and I'm trying to remain calm. Even though I now have this amazing tool in my arsenal to counteract extra goodies (which I've used successfully already to counteract special event eating), there's just going to be SO MUCH FOOD for two whole months..... I haven't figured out how to wrap my brain around it in such a way that I could be around all of that calorie-dense goodness without eating it ALL!

Lessons learned this week:
-Plateaus do end if...

So Day 2 was a success! I ate more than I planned to but was really hungry and don't feel restricted on this diet! I ate lasagne and garlic bread for lunch, 5 rice cakes and jam, breaded fish with vegetables and bread, HALF A CHEESECAKE  (not good) and some fresh pineapple. If I hadn't had a whole half cheesecake I would have said it was a complete success. But there is always tomorrow.. although I do have that half a cheesecake left..
