I went riding last night and exerted myself at the highest level in a sprint on my bike. I'm not sure if it was from the current exertion, or because of my overly-heavy squats, but my legs felt like they were filled with boiling water after about 35-45 seconds of intense pedaling. The highest heart-rate I got was 156 bpm -- which I believe is a signal that my heart is considerably more efficient than it was February of 2012. My guess, is that at my current fitness levels, my max heart-rate is somewhere around 165 bpm. So I've got my heart pumping for maximum effort at only 69% of my former max heart rate (240 bpm). Which is interesting. Since now I ride faster when expending maximum effort.
Although I was fasting yesterday, I had to get 2 ounces of cantaloupe and 4 ounces of orange juice to fuel my short cycling ride.

Has messed up my scales! Makes it seem as if I have lost no weight at all.
So, either I started out heavier than I thought, or being on a different floor has messed the scale up..there is a good 8lb difference it seems.

So to avoid my having either a line going back up, as if I had put weight on, which would depress me and send me running for a dairy milk, I have started the progress tracker again (as well as the Libra app) so all previous data I have deleted.

Scales are in a good spot again, where they will not be moved, so I can at least see progress, even if I am now every so slightly unsure as to exactly how much I weigh!

Well not posting as often as I'd thought.

Its been an OK weekend, some snacking at work on Saturday and a yummy Saturday dinner of parsnip and shallot tart tatin (sounds strange I know but was delicious) and strawberry tart, both made by my hubby who always cooks on Saturdays.

Today also OK including my weekly mini-binge of two packs of McCoys crisps and a crunchie bar.

Crisps are my weakness. My achilles heel. I just can't get enough. I have had several days when I have eaten literally NOTHING else in a day. Just crisps at breakfast time, lunch time and dinner time. I can't count the number of times I've eaten a 6-pack, 10-pack or 12-pack in one go. Mt record was a jumbo 16-pack multi-pack eaten in one go. My binging on crisps started as a child and has haunted my my whole life. I decided to join Slimming World when, on the way back from a trip to the supermarket I'd eaten a whole 6-pack before I even got home, on the bus. And it wasn't the first time either. I was at a Slimming World...

So here I am at the lowest weight I have ever been in my adult life. Do you think the scales stay still? Nope, not at all. It is all over the place. I know that I have not gained weight as I would need to eat an extra 14000 calories to gain the weight that my crazy scales says that I have gained. I am don’t think I have eaten more than 1500 calories a day much less excess.

The only explanation that I can give is that I am at a stress period and I have indulged in fries (one day only) and pasta which I usually avoid. Don’t you love what carbs do to your body!! Now I have to calm down, distress, and wait and see what the scales do the next few days. I only hope it makes up its mind as to what it wants to do!
