Well today is the day, day one of fasting. Weighed myself 71.9kg What The? lol. ok fine i need to do this i want to at least get in the 60's in two weeks time. Have to weddings to go to, why have i left this so late. Oh well that's life.

Wished i prepared my food yesterday, but did a quick rush thing this morning. Low GI muesli, low fat yogart and strawberries yummooo. Hanging out for a cup of coffee as well, so had that or else i won't function. My job is so full on i need to be with it. Might go for a walk lunch time, i brought in my running shoes, need some fresh air.

Im trying not to think of food, have brought in 2ltr water to drink with lemon in it, nice taste actually. Brought in my green tea if i need it as well.

Dinner tonight is minestrone soup. Hope this satisfy my hunger.

Will write up more tommorrow.

Hi I am completely new to the program! I decided to start today, my ,main problem is I have huge cravings. I am studying abroad in Italy and since I came here I gained 5 kilos about 12 pounds. The food is just so good! The problem is now I am officially chubby... It is really evident on my body frame since I am usually very tiny. I thought this diet might help me since I can basically eat whatever I want for 5 days and then just have to fast for 2 is that correct or am I dreaming? Ho healthy do the 5 days have to be in order for the diet to work?
I would love to hear tips and suggestions!!

Thanks a lot in advance!

Well day 1 of fast completed, easier then i thought it would be although just read on the site I should have waited to the following food time to eat normally inso cutting it to exactly 24hrs instead of the more effective.

Feeling a bit dissapointed but nevermind will try again on thursday and see how it goes.

Off to the spa tomorrow for a bit of relaxing and sweating it out in the sauna.

Here it is, the day after our Thursday fast. It was, as they said, a lot easier than the first Monday fast. I wasn't so desparately hungry and I avoided a head ache by drinking more water. Dinner was pre-prepared: garden vegetable soup, most of the vegetables from the garden. It was delicious. I decided to put a small shaving of parmesan cheese on it, and I don't think that did any harm. There was also a tiny bit of potato in the soup and a very small amount of risini pasta, so it did have some carbs. But it had about 10 different vegetables and wonderful basil from the garden.

I have been glued to the forum! So interesting to read everyone's experiences and thoughts. I am surprised by the large amount of writing about calorie counting. I guess for people who have always done it, on various diets, it comes second nature. I will not go there. The Don't Go Hungry Diet has taught me to listen to my body. Michael Pollan's books have taught me to eat food, not factory junk. Those are my guidelines....

A crazy busy day yesterday - which helps with fasting actually. But didn't have time to check in here. I made it through - ate within my 500 and didn't really mind it too much. Now to make sure I don't overdo on these days. I think that will be the trick to weight loss. Which is moving down, but slowly - very slowly. As long as it keeps moving I'll be happy.
