I've had 8 fasts now and I feel tremendous In the beginning I found fast days easy to get through, never felt hungry but I did feel a little light headed and during the first week, I had headaches. As always I consulted the forum and took the advice, drink more water and it helped. The headaches stopped in week 2. However, from day one after each and every fast, I was buzzing, I couldn't sleep Again I consulted the forum, and of course loads of great advice. One piece of advice comes through very strongly with just about all the mishaps and bumps we face along the journey ..patience it will get better ..and it does! yesterday was my 8th fast and last night I SLEPT ...

......from my previous ramblings and 7 lbs lighter. Such a slow weight loss but I know what I eat on non-fast days (and the odd Toblerone bar has been purchased for someone else and then consumed by me in a moment of complete abandonment, before I’ve had a chance to give it to them – so hey ho I can’t complain). If I was concerned about speeding it up then I would have to be more vigorous and controlled on my ‘feast days’.
I really should try a bit harder to be honest, I would so like to get to my goal weight by Christmas (just in time for celebrations and putting some of it back on again !!!!) Maybe writing this will motivate me to try just that bit harder for a few months.
I’ve now done a few weeks of 36hour liquid only fasting – am amazed at how I can achieve them (though it is a struggle come 9pm and I start prowling the kitchen, along with my cats, looking for some supper). ...

So, enjoyed breakfast, porridge and toast. Then went out.
We started by feeding daughters cats ( they are on holiday).
Then stopped in Mayenne at Feu Vert (car bits) for a brake light bulb and fitted it in the car park. Don't want to attract the attention of the gendarmes!
Then drove to Laval to a DIY place that had a Bosch chop saw at a good price. My life is so exciting, I know you are all envious. I now take my kindle everywhere, I can stand in the shop with the trolley reading whilst hubby takes ages to decide what he wants. It has possibly saved my marriage! By the way last week we celebrated 36 years! Scary stuff. Whilst hubby investigated the Electronic goods shop I had look around a craft shop. Bought some ribbon!
Then back to Mayenne to HyperU for weekly shop.
Home about 2 for a late lunch of baguette with butter and marmite and an apple.
Washing, egg collection, cutting and stacking wood in the afternoon.
Took dogs for their daily walk.
Sat down at 5.30 to carry on knitting...

Just keeping up to date with my musings-and -mutterings.....
Rough week last week - I overdid things - went out for the whole day....all but collapsed for the next couple of days.
I took meds but that of course threw my body off-whack.....
I am really pleased though...I still managed one fast day ...and didn't overdo it on the other days!
Hoping to manage the usual two fasts days this week (tomorrow = Wednesday. and Saturday)
If nothing else I am really appreciating the flexibility of this plan!

Although I haven't been able to fast more than once last week, I did my best with healthy eating and exercise. I won't beat myself up about this. I'm still doing ok.
I have a habit of feeling very anxious, worthless and depressed when I overeat, or doing what I think is overeating. I'm trying to tell myself it's ok to lose control sometimes. To make an apple pie over the weekend, and to resist eating it all by yourself (which I have done in the past). Yes? Little steps!!
Anyhow. This is monday, and fast day 3. It's going marvellous. Had two cups of coffee with a splash of milk and some slim soup. That leaves me around 400kcal for dinner! Which I will have in a minute. Vegs vegs vegs!!!
Also prepared some healthy fruit salad, for a fast day or a non-fast day. It will last all week. Feeling good!
